If I buy this Race Cam, do i HAVE to get the race pistons and OE rocker arm. or are they just trying to get more money out of me._____Qoute from site: The R5 race cam requires the use of race pistons and alternate valve train components. (listed on this page). When installing any new camshaft, new OE rocker arms must be used. OE rocker arm ratio is 1.422:1. Basic cam specs are indicated in ( ). --------

Give them a call and ask why do you need pistons for their cams

I was hoping someone knew, only cause i'm at work at the moment and don't want to make a long distance call from here. Made way to manywhen looking for my s13 front end. heheh.

it could be the valve overlap, some cams may use too much lift for the stock piston using normal timing to clear the vavle without hitting it....
