Anyone running this setup?I can get a fairly good deal on them - and wondering - are they worth the money?

Are they comparable to TEIN's street type coilover?

Any info or pictures would be great guys.

Thanks in advanceCRyan

I believe Nismo just uses another companies coilovers and slaps there badges on them. I wanna say JIC but not 100%

One thousand dollars cheap.

If this job starts to look decently, I believe I'm going to start buying all Nismo suspension components. . .Good idea?

Well, if there JIC Magic, are there any kouki's on here with mild street coilovers?

So do you all believe there tie rods, tie rod ends, all that jazz. Pretty much all there suspesnsion stuff would be JIC Magic?

God I can't wait now. Good to know it will be something quality.

And sort of off topic - anyone use marvels mystery oil and blend when doing an oil change on the car?

Hows it run? How much? Yada yada all the good material and pros/con's on running the stuff

Arent Nismo coils only height adjustable. If I was spending the money on coils I think I'd get something with alittle more adjustability.. Spend the extra few 100 and get something you'll be more satisfied with. just my 2 cents.

4 Rtune Nismo coilovers for Nissan 240SX 95-98 = 1000 dollar.

$ rtune Nismo coilovers for Nissan 240SX 89-94 = 650 (my price)

Uh, I've got part numbers for clutch disc, bushings, strut bar (front and rear), power brace(?), larger fuel injectors (400 to 770 cc), tie rods, most all suspension components at that, radiator cap, oil cap, fuel pressure regulator w/ and w/o mounting bracket, clutch cover (750 kg) 40 to 70 ft lb differentials (think thats what it said), they are four pinion, I remember that, um. . . thats all off the top of my head, but I've got a couple pages full. . .

Just ask me, I can tell you the part number.

P.S. All the listed parts above I have numbers for both S13 chassis and S14 chassis.

I have Nismo S Tunes... These are not the same as R Tunes.

S tunes: Lowering springs + stiffer shocks comboR tunes: True coilovers

I like my S tunes.

BTW, S tune shocks are made by KYB. But im sure they dont have the same damping characteristics as your regular KYB shocks. Probably has some damping coefficient given by Nissan.

edit: S-tunes are not damping adjustable. RHDJapan just had pictures of some other setup.

Also R-tunes are height and damping adjustable with much stiffer spring rates

that was very informative

so the s tunes are just a spring and shock combo with no dampening adj

I'm just guessing BUT -

S-Tune means street tuneR- Tune means race tune??

Anywho, thanks for the info - I know KYB has always been an awesome product. . .before I ran across these coilovers, I was looking to do a KYB strut and eibach spring combination. . .

Also, has anyone found out any info about the R-tune and having some kind of dampening feature (as stated above that they might NOT)

And one more thing, when a coil is FULLY adjustable, what does that mean.

I know ride height. But can I guess and say stiffness? Thanks for any info, I'm about to do a balls out search for this stuff to see what I can find out.

I'll keep you all posted.

Yes, I realize that - cause the S-Tune is springs and struts, as to the R-tune which are dampening adjustable.

But what I'm wanting to know is are they only height adjustable (as stated above)? Like do we have any hard evidence that they are only that? And what else can be adjustable on what I'm guessing is a "fully" adjustable coilover?

Also - In this catalog that I finally got back it states under the 89 - 94 R-tune coilover kit this -"Coil-over shock kit - Similar to 350Z and SE-R shock/spring kits"

Now is taht saying that they aren't true coilovers?

And under the 1995-1998 coilovers it states they ARE fully adjustable. . .

Anyway - real quick part number if you want to check them out or order or what not

S13 (1989 - 1994 240SX) 5530S-RSS30USS14 (1995-1998 240SX) 5300R-RS546US

EDIT - Ok, so further reading through the catalog states a coil-over shock kit for the S14 chassis also, that is only 600. I believe "similar to 350Z and SE-R "coilover" kit is only springs and struts.

Yeah, I dont think there was ever a fully adj. suspension setup by NISMO for the s13. They had non-adjustable ones, but I dont think there was a proper height-adjustable coilover.
