Just got my new Z. Are the factory parts good. I was looking at the nismo cold air intakes, nismo headers and nismo cat back exuast. Are these good to use or are there better, and using other parts will this effect my warranty.

The factory parts are great. Nismo S-tune products are great and they don't void your warranty. The R-tune and any aftermarket parts you add will or certainly might cause warranty problems. As far as what parts are best for your car, that really realies on where you see your car in the future completed. There's a lot of aftermarket support for the 350z.

Side note: Since your Z has the lastest motor, and changes, make sure the Nismo kits will be able to fit your car. I'm not sure if it's updated, same with many other aftermarket parts. There's plenty for the DE but not so much for the HR.

Well said samej82. And to elaborate I had the R-Tune intake and exhaust added to my '07 350Z GT and did not notice a difference. Turbos and supercharger give you the gut wrenching feeling you are looking for but dont expect it from a 10-30 bhp gain. Good luck and spend you cash wisely.

When it comes to parts there are alot out there for the Z, i forget if you mentioned if you have the new 07 or one of the 03-06 modle, but if you have an 03-06 there are a lot of good parts out there and generaly nismo although quality arnt always the best parts, one thing i do like in there lineup is there could air intake, otherwise for headers, test pipes, exhaust, and most other parts i would go with a good company like stillin or HKS, The nismo cold air intake wont (or shouldnt void your warrenty) But dealers are always looking for excusses if something does go wrong so after you do modify your car become knowligable about what you have so you can deffend yourself and know your facts if a despute does come up, for almost everything else ( maybe excluding the nismo exhaust) you have a good chance of voiding your warrenty, so although stillen and other companys make better parts that will give your car better gains they may have more chance of voiding your warrenty or give nissan something to put the blame on if you do need to use your warrenty for anything. For the 07 not many parts are out yet but they are making more and more, as far as the warrenty goes the same probably applies. Hope this helps out and good luck.

The only nismo part I'm going to buy is the intake and maybe the headers if I don't turbo my car.

So far I havent heard much for doin any REAL mods. The closest ive seen was a GReddy twin turbo kit (puttin out about 800 hp give or take) but they havent put it on the market yet. Apparently some companies have been havin problems cause of the dual intake plentum & dual throttle bodies. Id say work on the suspension and transmission till something hits the market that way your Z is ready for the awsome amount of hp youre gonna give it.
