i have been e-mailing dealers but they won't give me any information!!! so i went to nissan news and e-mail a news manager here was his responce " there are no plans at this time to produce a Nismo Altima Coupe or SE-R. Please monitor http://www.nissanusa.com or our media website http://www.nissannews.com for any product updates." i am quite pissed off and i am starting to think think that they may stop makeing altima coupes (because don't they make plans for se-r's even before the stock car comes out?)

Sadly, that may be true. They only released the A/C in N America. So unless it sells really really well, then they may continue its production elsewhere. Although i doubt japan , b/c they dont like coupes.

the v6 coupe IS the se-r... can you imagine an all wheel drive or rear-wheel assist 300+ hp coupe?!?!! oh wait... just get a Z or a G for that! LOL they would cannibalize z and g sales if they bumped it up... now a NISMO coupe, yeah... then it'll come with all the s-tune and maybe r-tune add-ons but it'll still be in it's on class.

While the first Altima SE-R's are nice, I am a firm believer that the SE-R badge belongs on the vehicle it was initially intended for: The Sentra. Being a past owner of an original B13 Sentra SE-R, a 2004 SE-R and a 2004 Spec-V I may be a bit bias and I might even piss a few of you off I have a problem with them slapping a name plate on a car to up sales.

I would have gotten the 350 but there was no back. the trunk was big but what if i wanted to drive 2-3 or even 4 people? then i was FU^%ed so i wen't with the altima coupe. Also when i was going to get a 350z every one told me that my insurance would be HUGE. so i see more people going for the altima coupe (i think the 350 shoud come stock with 2 turbos and become a super car and be a pimp with the GTR.)

I wish they would bring back the days of the REAL sports cars. Real in terms of cars like.. The supra, 240sx and etc.

The reason i like them is because.. They were hardcore racers (Supra). They were also 2+2 seaters which was awesome. If you try to compare them to the g35, the g35 is a luxury car and is huge in weight comparison to them. (Maybe not).

I wish they brought back cars like that..

Supra's are heavy as hell and handled like pure ***. The heaviest G35 sedan still weighs less than a Supra. The G35 would murder and Supra in the twisties

Nismo I could see in the future.............SE-R no. I see the Altima Coupes doing very well in the future.

*EDIT* I remember asking dealers about a Altima Coupe when it was only rumors......they denied. I got a good feeling for Nismo Coupe.

someone said the altima is only in North America... not true. they sell it in the middle east too, even the altima coupe is available in the middle east. but ya, the old SE-R altima didnt come out till like the last 2 years of production. i'd love to see an AWD altima, i mean the Ford Fusion has available AWD. the new Nissan Murano is built on the D platform like our cars with the same engine and transmission (CVT people) and they have it in AWD too so maybe in the distant future when the 2009 Murano is hella common and someone finds one wrecked at the junk yard cheap, they could use the rear end for an altima and convert it to AWD.... just a thought, i know it'll cost 1.4 Billion dollars to do though lol

I have to totally agree with Tyler. I also stated this exact same thing on another thread a while back. I, too, owned a B13 SE-R and I absolutely loved that car! I thought Nissan did a pretty good job with the SE-R badge on another car, but I do believe they should've reserved it strictly for the Sentra. And for those who don't know, the reason the SE-R was used on the Altima was too boost sagging sales figures until the new redesign.

For those waiting for an SE-R version for the new gen, don't keep your fingers crossed. It simply isn't going to happen.

I dont see it a smart move for nissan to give the altima any more power..it would then start to take away from the 350Z/G37 sales..Any "package" would be body trim/emblems ect. Until Honda puts more power into the Accord Coupe I dont see nissan doing anything new...........

SE-R or Nismo, I really believe it shouldn't matter. We all know Nismo parts very pricy but good quality. A Nismo addition Altima would cost a premium. Any of us could easily mod the car to exactly what we want and probably do it a lot cheaper and even have it perform better.

As I stated before, I really don't think Nismo, or any other company for that matter, will come out with a CAI. There just isn't enough room to route the intake through the bay to get it low enough for the cold air. But, I could be wrong. Maybe they'll figure out a way of doing it without relocating any parts; highly doubtful, but you never know. Maybe run a tube from the bottom up to the intake like the one I was/am planning on fabbing up when I find the time.

LBC I hope you're not trying to be racist or a smart a**, because what you said wasn't funny at all. Now if you said it w/o malcontent then, oh well. Anyways here is a link to a vid of an A/C in U.A.E.

First; I don't know any countries with such highways, terrain, and road signs in Arabic outside of the Middle East or even the Greater Middle East. I also highly doubt someone shot that video somewhere else and lied. Second; I never claimed that they sell them over there, all I did was post a video.

No disrespect to you either skiski. I just posted the video to show the plausibility of it being available in that region and also in response to LBC's comment "Wheres the altima in the sand you speak of?".

I enjoy driving my '05 SE-R, it has many features that Altimas and Maximas did not come with. It would be nice if they did re-release this model though. It's funny how I see many Nissan owners hounding after SE-R parts to upgrade the current features of their own.

No disrespect, but I feel the SE-R Altima, and SE are equal on so many levels. It was about $3,000 more than a SE with only 10 more horsepower...........but with the weight gain of the SE-R, perfromance was the same. I would'nt mind having some of the Altima SE-R accessories to add to my ride. SE-R was a nice touch for an Altima but was proven it did'nt back up the SE-R badge you know? Nismo though I can see in the future........like I said bro, no disrespect.
