nismo or custom ?

i've been thinking about this for the longest. to go nismo or custom? the nismo every other altima has. if i go custom will it be a ***** to go back to stock ? i know if i go custom the pipes are going to rust eventually but nismo is stainless steel. can't really make up my mind about this exhaust any suggestions ?

P.S. if i go custom can any recommend me a hi-flow resonator ? thanks

edit: nismo costs like $830 shipped. custom $500 - 200$ for exhaust tips 300$ labor pipes etc.

i say custom. most places will allow you to use or pick your mufflers. as for it rusting im sure the shop your going to can use SS pipping as well. if your worried about going back to stock just have the shop add flanges to your pipping. 500 sounds like a good deal to me!!

Magnaflow or greddy ? There is couple people in this forum who bought magnaflow,greddy exhaust take off their resonators for better sound, maybe they will sell it to you

If you were getting a custom one, id leave the resonator out.. save some douhg

I went with Nismo for a few reasons,

1) Deletes the resonator on the 4th gen Altima's for better sound and flow.

2) Sounds great once its broken in, a little droning sound for the first few hundred miles though

3) It is covered by Nissan's 12 month 12,000 mile parts and accessories warranty.

4) Police can't bother you because its an OEM part and has not been modified to increase sound. (as per stinkin NY exhaust regulations )
