Quote »It is the brand-new NISMO make N1 piston set for CA18DET. Presently it is the super rare commodity which is not produced. Size becomes 85mm. Part NO 12010 - RRS41 - becomes S. Price it reaches 179500 Yen, but this time you start cheaply. Separate consumer tax depends on successful bid price. [/quote]

!!!85mm slugs!!! I thought it was a typo at first! That's crazy, there would be almost no cylnder wall left. Very little anyway. Lets see those SR fools bore their little aluminium motor out that much!!! Hehehe. I love cast iron...

I could see that in an NA application to gain displacement but for turbo I would rather ratain the cinderblock-like cylinder walls and up the boost. Very few high HP CAs in Japan run any large overbores. Those are purty though:eek:

Well I think that for low HP applications it would be nice. I'm thinking 300hp max for me. Probabally closer to 250-275. I personally would like to bore mine out to 84mm, and increase the compression to about 9.0. But right now I'm more worried about fixing my exhaust mani gasket, new(er) turbo, and more boost. (and of course the required fueling to support it)

for the horsepower level you are talking about a cleanup bore and a set of forgies are all you need.

I know, but I just love spending money. Especially money I don't have!

remember kids these are NISMO slugs and i think nissan engineers know what the max boer they can use on the CA block would be, this is also the N1 version so NISMO is prepared to sacrifice long life with improved power for racing engines.... but still very very very nice
