Anyone ever put just the Nismo mufflers on the stock Altima 2.5S exhaust? I have a friend who hates how the full cat-back sounds and his wife is ready to kill him, so I offered to buy the mufflers. Wondering how this will sound? Also wondering if it will fit or is the same size pipe as the stock exhaust?

Give me some feedback. Thanks in advance!

why don't u check out Stillen? That sound is perfect and much quieter, the only thing stopping me from purchasing is the noticeable exhaust mufflers. I like the nismo look but unsure about the sound yet I love the sound of Stillen but iffy about the look lol. I'll most likely end up buying the nismo exhaust, don't think the sound will bother me much..drove 6years w/a GReddy.

I haven't really looked at Stillen, but will. Do they sell the mufflers or am I looking at an axle back system?

axel back or cat-back... only place that will sell just the muffler is a muffler shop or maybe ebay

Which is more quiet....the Axle-back or cat-back? I think I'll give them a call today. I noticed that theis website doesn't exactly have a lot of info for 2010 vehicles, which is to be expected.

a cat-back is everything from the catalytic converter to the tips... cat-back is an axel back PLUS enlarging the piping from the cat to the axel back. so generally a cat-back is a little louder and gives a little more power.

Just spoke to the good folks at Stillen and nothing has been test fitted on the 2010 Altimam which is what I figured. Might be a good thing so I can't modify everything at once.

it hasnt been test fitted but it will fit. the only things to really change are lights, grill, hood, bumper. aside from that, its the same car as the 2008 and 2009. a member on here just put the 2008-2009 Borla exhaust system on his 2010 and it bolted up perfectly.
