Thanks for the offer Nismo_Freak, but i should warn the All Motor Crowd that these mounts do NOT fit the KA24E for absolutly certain. They will sit the engine 1/2" taller in the engine bay, which could make your exhaust manifold down pipe rattle on the floorboard, and will make it impossible to use a strut tower brace.

As for the DOHC KA24DE i honestly have no experience, so i cannot say. Anyone??

edit:BTW That is an awesome price, when i bought mine from http://www.phase2motortrend.com i paid $280 for the set, and once i fould out (first hand) they couldnt work, i sold them for $245. So $230 for the set is incredible!

Damn, so much for that idea. I was just about to contact him for some. Are those made out of poly material or what? Can I just get the transmission mount?

Need clarification - Have a `91 240SX with KA24DE engine, are these the right motor mounts? We have a strut brace so don't want to go higher with the engine, and don't want the pipe rattling against the floor.

If they're the right one's count me in - ZilverX

I have them, but still wating on more parts before i can get the engine in the car. i emailed http://www.jspec.com (who i got them from) and they said they are the same as the ka24e monts, but strounger. i dont know if they have ever installed them or not though. so i am still just going to take a wait and see, but i hope they work out ok. but yes that is a good price

I had originally ordered a set from jspec for my nitrous motor.the motor did sit a little bit higher, but I was still able to use a strut tower brace, and the header/exhaust never rattled on the floorboard.

A lot has to do with them being properly installed.

I definately installed them properly. The drivers side motor mount is the exact same overall height, but the OE mount has a straight thru bolt pattern, while the Nismo has an offset of 1/2", making it sit higher. The passanger side OE mount is 1/2" shorter than the Nismo mount. They did not work for my KA24E. And i tried them in several different combinations. The transmission mount works fine, however.

Please clarify - do they fit the KA24DE without modifications?

Well i finaly got the engine in, and they worked just fine. the engine dose seem higher then before, but that could have been that the old ones where so warn out. the exhaust isnt close to the firewall, and i dont have a strut brace, so i cant coment on that. there is more vibration so fare, but thats expected.

isn't having your engine higher a bad thing? i mean as far as having a higher center of gravity?

well i mean like 1/2 inch if that, plus it has been over 6 months with it out so i really couldnt remeber how high it was. plus the old engine monts fell apart as we pulled the engine, so they could have alowed the engine to fall down alittle.

you can always fill your mounts with 80shore uretane and have brand new, a-bit-better-than-stock mounts.. or go crazy and fill with 90shore and rattle your teeth out with stiff mount goodness...

does no one do DIY mods here?

Nissan is the only place to buy single mounts. The cheapoes from the parts store tend to wear out real quick.

I've never heard of a single person strengthening their mounts like that. It is such a critical part of the integrity of the engine that the most intellegent would use a tried and true method, instead of ghetto fabbing up some mounts that might be "a little better than stock".

^^ urethane is a faar superior material to rubber. its not ghetto at all. its extremely tried and true.

the 80 shore is used for a little better than stock. this low shore is used for comfort only, plus it will greatly outlast stock mounts. harder mounts tend to be noisier, and provide a much harsher ride.

mount filling is race stuff for racecars with race motors, not some 1/2 assed backyard operation.
