the bolts that hold the spindle to the drive shaft on my car are siezed so i tried to drop the engine in hoping that the drive shaft will just slide in with no luck. is there anything i can do short of dropping the whole driveshaft, granted those bolts arent seized also, and pushing it into the transmission?

also i have nismo motors mounts and i was wondering which ones go where. i know that the ka mounts have to be switched for an sr swap, do the nismo mounts go on the sides that they are marked for on an sr swap or are they switched like the ka mounts. thanks.

i would try to drop as much of the driveshaft as you can. if all else fails you can cut the bolts and order new ones from nissan. i am not sure about the nismo mounts. check the rwd sr forum or maybe nismo freak will stop by with an answer.

Where on the driveshaft are the bolts seized? There are the two that hold the center of the driveshaft, then there are the 4 at the back of the driveshaft. Which are seized?

The middle two bolts hold up the the part of the driveshaft that's got the splines on it and slides into the transmission. If those two are seized, you're screwed. If the 4 at the back are seized, you can cut those off, they're just nuts and bolts.

The KA mount's don't have to be switched for the SR install. Just that the KA ones are usually high mileage and need replacing. There should be a little hole that lines up the mount. There's also another little metal shield part that will cover the top of the mount that'll go on the drivers side.

its the bolts that hold the yoke to the driveshaft theres six of them total. thanks chris for the suggestion i dropped the shaft enough so that i could get the engine on the mounts, after that i messed with the shaft a bit and it slid right in. only thing is that i crushed one of my ps lines but thats easy enough to replace. thanks for the help man! it should be running as soon as i can get my hands on an intercooler and some piping.

oh yeah about the mounts, i put the one labled R on the drivers side and vice versa and the motor slid in fine. that metal hat youre talking about is it the mount that has the bare metal on it verses the one that is painted?
