Nismo Lsd

Are the Nismo LSDs worth it when comapred to a Kaaz or something. they are all about the same price, but is it better or basically the same.

(BTW try not to flame me if this is a repost-because I searched and the search is not working)

You would not go wrong with a NISMO diff. I have not used one personally, but it's designed and built by an OEM, so my bet is that it would be a top-notch part.

Has anyone here used one first-hand?

you could. make sure the hole pattern on the output flanges matches your car's. i decided to go with a Cusco for my S13 instead of a NISMO for that reason.

i'm certain that NISMO doesn't manufacture their own LSDs, but i doubt they get them from Kaaz , they might both get them from the same supplier though.

my kaaz is loud as **** in slow turns but when I give it a little extra gas in a U-turn I'm reminded why I love having an LSD, some folks say their kaaz quiet not sure what's up with mine. The Tomei is much quieter, not sure about the nismo. They're all good units, you'll be happy with either kaaz or nismo or tomei. Edit: I paid about 600, shipped and installed.

Yeah, Im pretty sure that Kaaz does make the NISMO LSD's. I was talking to guy about that a few weeks ago from Japan, he said they have been making them for Nissan for years.

i did miss your point, sorry. as fas as quality, NISMO is definitely one of the top brands. i think the top 3 are probably OS Giken, NISMO, and Cusco.

NISMO LSD's are bad-***...most drift teams and JGTC teams run them..or cuscos.

I like cusco, nismo, and tomei...all expensive unfortunately.:/-chet

Nismo is the quietest differential from my experience, the Tomei is quiet as well.

The Kaaz is loud... going around slow corners you, as previously noted, are reminded of it's presence.

yeah I get some dirty looks in parking lots, and whoever rides in my car says "what the hell is wrong with this thing?" so I gotta give them the LSD speech, but I still love the thing.
