nismo gear.how many degrees should i retard the cam

ok i just bought the nismo cam gear for the sohc and i would like some input from some ppl who have them installed in they're car perferrably.i have a stock cam and solid lifters im going turbo by the end of this month hopefully.but i dont have a problem chainging the degree bushing later.also is retarding putting the pin to the right or to the left(dont feel like spinning the motor and finding out
