alright so the first time the car has seen 12volt power for 2 months. i wanted to set the fpr according to floats write up but no dice. what is the point of using the jumper wire? does it keep the fuel pump on? i turned the ignition on, the fuel pump came on, but then it sounded like it was about to die, turn the car off, check the gauge and im at 60 psi. wow, too much. went to try it again and the fuel pump didnt even turn on(sounded like) it just ticked like it couldnt pump because there was too much pressure.

i just dont understand how this works without the car running because theres no vacuum to let the fuel into the rail. i have no clue.

Weird, were the fuses capable of the correct amperage?

The jumper is to keep the pump on all the time, if you just turned the key to ON without the jumper the fuel system would pressurize and then the pump would shut off preventing you from adjusting the pressure.

start low and bring the pressure up.

would low pressure be the with the bolt all the way out or in?

and when i first primed the fuel pump. it sounded normal and just died out and the relay started ticking. every time i go to prime it again it just ticks. thats the only wiring i messed with( the pos and neg for the pump) and they are right because it put 60psi of fuel up to the regulator. i mean what would cause these fuses to blow?

a short, overloaded pump, bad relay, could be a few things.

ok so i fixed that problem. now.. the fuel pump isnt turning off. it just primes. no jumper wire. tried the fpr with the bolt all the way loosened and it went to 70 psi. dropped back down a little. tightened the bolt all the way down. try it again. same again, went back to 70psi. whats low and whats high? the car wont start because fuel isnt getting passed the fpr. i have fuel before and no fuel coming out of the rail. any clue?

ok so i guess i'll keep updating this. have fuel. set the fpr. fuel pump constantly on. not turning over. dont think my injectors are working. i'll occasionally get a click by them like a wire is loose. reconnected all of them and they dont click anymore but still not starting. also my AC relay on the driver front corner relay box keep clicking. no clue.

check for sparkif you have spark check for fuel, simply by sticking the end of a screwdriver on the injector and the hand end of it to your ear, you should hear it click rythmically while a friend cranks the car

if you have no injectors and no spark, go to ecu, make sure it has power and isnt spitting codes.

thats nice to know^ how exactly do i check for that? the board doesnt show any signs of being fried. i did put the eprom in backwards the first time because it was already on the zif socket when it was shipped to me. i didnt think about it being on the right way. but that was why my engine cont fuse blew. so i dont know. and how exactly do you check for spark? you really cant take the coil pack out and crank it because it has to be grounded to the head? should i just make one? never had to deal with this kind of trouble shooting in the 5 years ive been doing this.
