Okay. I got a 08 Nissan Altima Coupe 3.5L.

Ordered the Nismo Exhause from Lee's and spent about $850 ( )

Got it in last week and for it installed on Saturday.

Well anyway, I was hoping it would be louder then it is and that it would be a bit deeper sounding. I was a bit disappoited at how it sounded (I was hoping for a louder and deeper sound).

My question: Will it get deeper sounding?

I had this same thing happen to me! As soon as i started my car after i got it installed i was like "well this isnt that loud" but ive had mine on for about 3 months now and i think it gets deeper and louder every single day! i love the sound now! i think it will continue to get deeper! Once the y-pipe comes out im gonna get that because it will make it louder as well! Trust me you will end up loving it!

Here is a link to mine when it is broken in a little bit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eAAsbnZLMZg

Its even louder now than it is in the video

Don't get me wrong, I like the way it sounds now but I was really expected something louder and deeper when I turned my car on.

I can't even hear it at cruising speed.

Thanks for answering my question. I can't wait to break it in a little bit.

Next mod - intake - tint - rims.

Kdog please keep us posted. I was wondering if I should pull the trigger on a Nismo for my 3.5. Let us know if it gets louder with more break in.

It will get louder. I put mine on last spring and it has a nice rumble to it now. You will notice it alot more when the windows are down vs. in the winter driving with the windows up. It is kind of quiet until it warms up too.

hehe... I loved the sound when I got the exhaust installed. It was perfect but now... it's on little too loud side when I'm cruising.. Give it some time and it will definitly get louder.

I can hardly notice the exhaust at cruising speed. I don't want it too loud but I'd like to at least hear it.

oh yeah ? I personally owned one for a year now. Base on my experience, sometime it's loud n sometime it's quite., but I bet it's much louder than any exhaust including greddy, apexi when I first installed it.

two questions, in terms of performance and sound, which exhaust is the best, i want a deeper sound, not a high pitched whine. and is this a full exhaust system, or is it a cat back, or what?

You can get either the cat back or axle back.

I'ld have to agree with the majority here. The Nismo def does not get quieter. But at the same time, mine really hasn't gotten any louder then when I first installed it. I already have about 8-10k since I installed it.

My nismo changed abit after about 300 miles of driving on it. Its not exactly louder but the tone is abit more refined. It does get louder when I put more people in the car, the higher the load the louder it gets I guess.

It does drone a little since it has a straight mid pipe instead of a resonator. (much less than when I first put it on.) but that never really bothers anyone. Girls aren't bothered by it either. I have the 3.5SE Sedan
