I've recently spent about two weeks calling several different companies to try and avoid forking out 400$+ for a stainless exhaust that fits a 2001 Crew Cab S/C Short Bed. Long story short, there's only a couple different exhausts available that specify fitment for a 2001 S/C CC/SB, Gibson and maybe one other. I spent countless hours on the phone with different vendors trying to figure out just what makes the 2001 and/or S/C model so special. Some say there's no difference, some say the A-pipe is different, some say backpressure yada yada.
I finally decided on a Nismo Cat-back system that specifies fitment for 2002 (or '03?) and up. The end result is the difference is absolutely nothing. Every single piece of the exhaust fit like a glove. Look and fitment is top-notch.
Pairing this exhaust with the supercharger is a whole different world. The exhaust literally unleashes a cacophony of awesome sounds fighting each other, and my ear can't decide which one it likes better. At low RPM the low growl is first noticeable, however if you keep your foot planted, the supercharger whine then takes over and sends the truck howling down the road at a much improved quickness.
Definitely worth the 275$, plus the seller threw in free Nismo floor mats.
I really just wanted to throw it out there that the fitment issues may be a null one. I'm aware that Nissan has at least half a dozen different part numbers, but I'm betting the bolt-on is typical between each model and that perhaps the only thing that differs is length and route (crew cab, king cab, short bed/long bed, etc).
