it's easy to find dyno charts on the nismo which average about 5-7whp gains on most nissan models, but has anyone dyno'ed the stillen? pre-stillen and post stillen? they look very similar, but cans are quite a bit different.

I also would be interested in which one sounds better and which one has better performance. (If it's less than 2-3 horses different it shouldn't be an issue)

As sad as it sounds I really just want something that growls.

Either one would be good for upgrade. Depends on the sound u`d prefer. I saw a Z have great improvements in power w/ the nismo and one other guy w/ the stillen who was just as good. However... i hear the Stillen one fits better. The tailpipe seems to be a lil short on the Nismo.

For clarification;

I read that the 3.5 AC stock exhaust is setup different from the 2.5 AC. Would a full catback fit the 3.5 AC? Obviously an axleback wouldn't be an issue.

Anyone know where I can find information regarding the approx. HP gain from a catback and an axleback respectively on a 3.5 AC?

From forum browsing it seems that most believe axleback is more worth the $$$ (since its cheaper) and that for the minor performance gain and lack of better sound, catbacks aren't worth the extra cash.

Can anyone elaborate?

mmm thats interesting...i heard on both this forum and the other one that the nismo one fits better...there have been reports of the stillen hanging lopsided and shorter or longer....i have heard nothing bad about the nismo in terms of the way it sets...but then again i also heard that its becasue of the way the exhaust comes from the factory on each car. If the car comes with the factory exhaust hangers a little off, then no matter what u get...its gonna be a little bit off.

if your factory exhaust sits true and is perfectly alligned how could the hangers be off. it's not like nissan fabs/bends the pipes after they're bolted on the car.i'm sure there's nothing wrong with the stillen catback, but the nismo in my opinion sounds 100times more beastly.has anyone dyno'ed their stillen yet???
