All i can say is wow. From idle to 3k rpm, it is a nice, throaty almost v8 esque growl, followed by a sweet 350Z/G kind of song from 3k and up. The throttle response has improved a good bit and it feels a lot smoother, even though the stock midpipe is acutally bigger. I'm not too sure if i really gained much power seeing how it compared visually to the stock exhaust. It was definitely worth the 5 week wait and the 850 shipped from Lee Parts.

definitely a good buy

Nice, I would like to hear this Z/G song you speak of, because every video I've seen makes it sound like a V8 through out all rpms. Not to mention it kinda sounds like a louder version of stock. Whatever, as long as you like it, but if it does sound like a Z/G and a V8, I'll change my mind at get the Nismo over GReddy. Im waitin for the vids...

Pumped there's finally more people getting the NISMO exhaust!

I can't believe the difference before/after the break in period....My exhaust as no crackle at all, its all smooth deep sound, any droing you have will disipate over the next couple hundred miles. Also my personal opionion, with the summers heat the exhaust is louder and deeper compared to the cold in the winter. Good luck!

Would you agree it sounds like a V8 in the low rpms and like a Z/G in the high?

Some videos of you broke in exhaust would be nice.

Whatever you do, don't go to Leeparts and look up the current price for your cat back.

I too would like to hear a video of the broken in exhaust. The sound of the exhaust in the first vid was nice, but I wasn't really down with the crackling and such. Would be nice to know what it sounds like fully broken in.

EDIT: how long does it take for an exhaust to be considered broken in? this is my first exhaust on a car

i'm not worried, it was all from graduation money but yea, mine cost more cause when i ordered (and i am a very impulsve buyer) it was on backorder, had it been money i worked for, i'm sure i would have asked lee parts about that more extensively

That sounds badass smmehdiz. How difficult and how long of an install was it?

Also what part of Boston are you from? I just got my coupe last week. I live like 15-16 miles North of the city. First went to the dealership in Woburn but they weren't letting me have it at the price I wanted. Then went to the one in lynnfield and got dark slate + premium for 27K (and 2 free oil changes) they just wouldn't go any lower and started throwing in oil changes.

aside from a few bolts that needed some heating, the install took a total of 45 min on jack stands w/2 sets of hands......no lift

i am actually from milton, but for intents and purposes of the forum and seeing as how not many ppl will know where milton is in relation to boston, i just put boston haha its like 10 min south

Got my NISMO exhaust last night after arriving home. The box was just shy of a complete shred...holes, rips, tears and loose tape. But, the pipes were just fine and I placed them on my chair....lol and worshiped them as the muffler God's would have demanded...

Now I have to wait until this weekend to install....bummer

I just installed mine last weekend in about a hour from start to finish. I have an impact gun which really sped up the install, but it was super simple and I love the sound. The look is very mild, but def. beats the angled greddy blue tips.

WoW....no not the game. Got the Nismo on today and WoW...

What a sweet noise...deep rumble at low RPM and a smooth growl when accelerating. WoW..

I made the correct buy with this baby. Leeautopart for $579.32 and $685.59 at the door. Normal price for this puppy is $980.00 and I see why now...

I was about to jump on the Nismo a few times, but I can't get a definitive answer on how it sounds. It even sounds different on each of EzeebMoss' videos on youtube.
