I've got a set of NISMO engine mounts ready to go in my 240, but I read somewhere that they are taller than the stock mounts. IF (& I'm assuming here) the KA is higher, will the hood shut w/ no problem? Or do I need to put a couple of spacers b/w the K member and the frame to give the top of the motor some clearance.Could someone w/ these mounts give me some peace of mind? lol

nissan would not design them if you would need to shim the hood.

True, but the NISMO mounts are disigned for the SR (which I think is shorter than the KA), not the KA.And I'm not talking about shimming the hood. I'm talking about puting a 1/4 inch thick plate of metal b/w the K member (the thing the engine mounts mount to) and the frame. I've been planning on doing this someday to lower the center of gravity, but didn't want to do it quite yet. . . I have other bugs to work out before I spend money on niceties.

Search around for Nismo mounts here on NICO. As I recall, the engine will sit a bit higher, but it shouldn't interfere with anything. The only issue I could possibly think of is interference with some funky strut tower bar.
