nismo differential bushing install question.

I just had the nismo differential bushings pressed into the subframe. They are for the Z and 240. However I found out that the bushings I got from Nismo are much narrower then the stock ones! If anyone is familar with these, do they need to be pressed all of the way in so that the flat part of the washer is touching the diff? I have a 96 s14! if this makes sense please explain what I need to do. Picks would work great also! thanks.
