WELL I'M LOOKING AT EITHER THE NISMO COILOVERS OR AGX'S AND PROLINE SPRINGS. SPRINGS AND STRUTS I CAN GET FOR JUST OVER $600 + SHIPPING THE NISMO COILOVERS I CAN GET FOR ABOUT $50 MORE. WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS ARE THE NISMO COILOVERS ANY GOOD?

How about you read his sig.

Are the Nismo coilovers just height adjustable, or both height and dampening? I'd drop the extra 50 for the Nismo coilovers either way.

if im looking at the right stuff, there are two different kits. the s-tune, and the r-tune.

the s-tune kit are non adjustable, 5.3/4.5kg spring rates. the r-tune kit is 8/7kg (with some type of helper spring in the rear), looks to be height adjustable and 20 way dampening adjustable and comes with front camber adjustment.

i guess you are looking at the s-tune kit for that price. if i have the right info above on them, then they will be a lot stiffer than prolines+agx's, minus the adjutability. still plenty soft for normal street driving. i know my 8/6kg coilovers are way too stiff to drive fast on a bumpy surface.

without being able to drive on the coilovers, it seems like a tuff decision, especially since they are not adjustable. but i think it would depend on the application, since your two choices are so different, whether u want to drive fast on the backroads, or fast on the track.

8/6 is not that bad on the street, try running 12/10 with no ajustability that is stiff

Why do you say that? Back up your opinion with some facts.

i agree, 8/6 is fine for the street, if all you plan on doing is getting from point to point. if the street is where u plan on doing your fast driving, then 8/6 is way too stiff, and completely unnecessary.

12/10, heh, now that is stiff, i have 8/6 but i plan on ordering a few sets of springs eventually for my coilovers so i can interchange them and see how it feels.

my car is being built towards circuit racing. but it'll be a weekend night driver for a while. The are fully adjustable to my knowledge so you all agree that the coilovers are better?

ohh i forgot to add that stiffer is better for me, as i'm used to racing suspension-less road racing go-karts.

I was looking at the companys info on the coilovers and they are the street setup so I think it is only height adjustable. If you guys want the hook up let me know, I'll help you all out.Email me and I'll get you and exact price with shipping, the more of you interested the less it'll potentially cost.

SO THEY ARE JUST COILOVERS WITH NO ADJUSTABLIITY? THEY DON'T EVEN MAKE COILOVERS LIKE THAT, WELL TO MY KNOWLEDGE THAT IS.

well i called a site that offers the coilovers, i forgot the site but i just searched for "nismo 240sx coilovers" on google. the lady there said the s-tune offer no adjsutability whatsoever and come w/ upper mounts too - the r-tune offers a full range of adjustability but is alot more.

she said she does not have any more info and she's been trying to get them.

IT HAS TO HAVE ATLEAST HEIGHT ADJUSTABILITY OR THE POINT OF THE COILOVER HAS BEEN COMPROMISED. THEY ALL COME WITH UPPER MOUNTS.

they don't have to come w/ height adjustability - the point of coilovers is not compromised if they don't. The point of coilovers is just to have springs matched with the dampening of the shocks, instead of buying shocks and springs that won't match up. but yea, i was surprised too that they didn't - well that's what she told me, i'm just saying what she said.
