I am switching my original cluster in my 1991 Skyline GTR and am having complications. With the new cluster installed the tach and temp gauge do not work. I read that there was a change in the cluster in august of 1991 so my cluster is the old style (the yellow backing). The Nismo cluster is the blue backing new style. Does anyone know how to make this work??? Can i just switch a pin or jump a wire to get the cluster to function properly??

I had to deal with this when I wanted a Nismo speedo for my '90 GT-R and luckily I was able to find the correct version of speedo for my car since the two clusters are not supposed to be interchanged. When I checked foreign forums they said you have to make sure you get the right cluster and I never saw any mention of a way to get a newer cluster to work properly in an older car.
