I'm ready to put a nismo cat back on my new 08 z. Any issues, concerns that I should be aware of?

thanks

Save a few more dollars, and get a better exhaust. Not that there is anything wrong with the nismo, it's just that you can do SO MUCH better!! Go shopping for Greddy, or HKS. Better performance, and sound. What ever you do, don't get the Borla kit...sounds like crap, and has too many parts...you really don't want all those clamps on your system. I guess you could get it weld later...if ya want to dump more money into your system. I have the Greddy SP2 on mine. Shop around in the after-market realm...you'll be glad you did.

I like the Stillen, HKS, or Injen true dual exhausts. Great preformance and sound.

for the money your spending on the nismo system go with somthing that will give you the sound and performance you really want

True dual exhausts are the only way to go. I'm either looking at the HKS hi-power or the Greddy evo-tt one.

There are a lot of excellent exhausts out there for the Z33, but for what its worth, our customers who have the Nismo exhaust absolutely love it.

Sounds better than stock but you will not notice any significant gains in hp. Put some on my 350Z Grand Touring 6 spd plus the air intake, sound improved but not a whole lot more burning of the Bridgestone's..

I first had the nismo on my 05. Sounded nice. I had it dynoed. Then i put my stillen back on that was from my 03. Dynoed it. I got 9-11 more hp out of my stillen on top of nismos highest #. The stillen is quite when your tooling around , and agressive when you hammer it and want somebody to know your comming. All this talk is making me sad. My car has been put up for the winter for a mounth no. Weep, weep.Nothing agianst nismo, just don't go that rout, you want performance and sound, not just the name and a cool sound. Stillen was good enough for me to use on both z's.
