I don't get it, Nissan is making Nismo parts for the Versa right? So technically they could be making Nismo cup holders and it's still a Nismo Versa.

So if you put on a fart can muffler, by your reckoning, you now have a fart can Versa. LOL?

Adding alot of Nismo or other Parts/stickers/etc, is no different from the old days when guys did the same to a Honda Civic EX - we call them Rice Boys!

You could add a "R" badge or "Type S" Sticker and then you could have the rare Nissan R Nismo Type S Versa.

I really am not trying to dis the V; but it is what it is. It is laughable when someone spends lots of bux to A) Sticker up an econo car trying to make it look . . . . well, you know! B) Try to make a nice mild econo car get 10 to 15 more HP - which really won't do anything for performance. Not happy w/ V? Get something that does it for ya.

I never said that if you put a random part on you car you can insert that part name infront of your car name.

No one is adding Nismo parts to their car and calling it a Nismo Versa. Don't you get that? Nissan is mass producing a Nismo Tiida. It's not a bunch of random kids slapping Nismo badges on their cars and calling them Nismo V's.

It doesn't matter if the Versa was designed to be a gas saver or a boat, if its yours then your allowed to do whatever you want to it. Whats wrong with people putting mods on their car to push a couple more horse power out of it? Is it hurting you? If not then why comment on it and make people feel like idiots for wanting to make their car more enjoyable.

in order for it to be considered an actual nismo V you would have to have the jdm projectors and LED tails, plus all the parts listed in that catalog, you have to remember that the tuning scene for the B cars in Japan is huge.... give it sometime i have a strange feeling that nismo japan has a few more tricks up their sleaves... come on, have you known nismo to just release a few minor upgrades and give it a S-Tune or R-Tune title.... who do you think youre dealing with Mugen? Honda Factory Performance? lol.... .... just give it some time, the TIIDA/Versa will live up to the NISMO name, just wait and see... oh yeah and you can quote me on that too!

nismo has been known to make some cars that are mere sticker and aero packages with maybe a few more ponies under the hood but hey, it's NISMO!

that may be partially true, in some cases... but you neglect to mention that they do make camshafts and suspension components, and other bolt on non warranty voiding power mods, in other applications... i guess we will just have to wait and see which one the versa crowd gets... i dont think it will be aero styling...

I'm with you Offshore. Unless it's a Nismo Versa then don't put a Nismo badge on it. It's like someone on here a while ago who put an Infiniti badge on his. Putting the badge on it doesn't make it an Infiniti. Who exactly are you trying to fool? I could stick a 5.0 badge on the back and imagine I'm going faster I guess. It's pretty much the same thing.

I do get it - more so than you I suspect. Go back to the 1st thread. "Nismo sticker found on ebay"Sticking a Nismo sticker on a Nissan does not make it into a Nismo. Nor does adding additional Nismo parts. Get it?! There is lots more to a Nismo than a sticker.

Also I am all for making your car "yours" and more enjoyable. The point I was trying to convey - Why spend 1 to 2 thousand dollars (total) to make an econo car like a Versa have more HP, Stickers, Exhaust, Leather seats, Lowered, body kits, etc. It is silly. By doing so, you lower the value of you car. Why not save the money and buy a nicer car? The Versa is a econo car, not a sports car. Will never be a sports car. You appear silly by trying to make a car like the V into something it is not. Those guys were called Rice Boys.

Again, I am all for making your car "yours" but exercise common sense. A good example is a CAI. Send $200 for something 99% of the people don't see, it adds maybe 7HP (which does nothing), and makes the car have a loud intake @ WOT. That is cool for an Evo or Challenger, but on a Versa. . . . . . It is silly. Just like the kid in the Civic DX going by with his foot on the floor, the car goes woooooooo, and is barely accelerating. . . . .it is silly.

i do all my mods mostly to help gas......... rims are for me........ and also to beat my friend with a fit, but besides that to each their own, i say put the badge on, i still plan on putting on the upside dovn infiniti emblem cuz i like how it looks( it makes a V)
