OK, I've got this friend.......wait.......lets say aquantence that told me nismo makes a 6 speed kit that swaps into the stock s13 transmission housing. Now this is comming from a guy who said he's getting a "turbotronics(A sister company of turbonetics maybe? ) stage II kit". So, I tend to take what he says with a grain of salt, but it would be sweet if it really does exist. supposidly the kit goes for about $1200.00.

Has anyone heard of this?

i know greddy makes custom trannies. and nismo prolly makes one too but my guess for the price is most likely 12000, not 1200.

I saw a site that had transmission's for the S13 was about a year ago. Regular transmission 6 speed was like 6,999 and one built for racing was like 9,999.

from what he said it was just a kit that swaps into the transmission. It isn't a whole transmission ready to go. You have to take your transmission apart, remove the internals and install the nismo internals.

just use an S15 spec R trans and swap the bell housingsmaybe $1k or so. you would need the diff too because of the gearing and the speed sensor.

This statement right here is not true. The rumor that was told as " s15 transmission's suck " was made up by a shop. It was made up by a shop because a neighborhood shop was outselling them on swaps/motors. This rumor proceded to make its way online and now is exactly that. A rumor.

S15 trannys are fine. there durability should not be questioned
