hey there almighty smart nissan users =)

I've been checking the new Nismo 380RS, AKA 2007 nismo 350zand it seems that we're missing a new section for this car, arn't we?I hope I didn't miss anything, but I believe this car is pretty different, and it could bring many different topics, parts sales, and so on that might differ from the *cough OLD cough cough* version.

This car looks soo damm sexy, as I was staring at the video of the car, my gf slapped the **** outta me for ignoring her as she was trying her hardest to sex me up :PI think I wanna change gfs now >< (the 380 being the new one =)

I hate to pop your Zits of happiness but the Nismo 350z has a 3.5l V6, 306 hp (whp not sure tho). How do i know? There was a black one at the nissan dealer... went today. It is right next to home depot, and circut city. Trying to get my dad to buy one for himself, he said he might consider it if it wasnt black ( stfu and enjoy dad... so picky). Yeah i dont think its all that much deserving of a new section... especially considering theres only 1500 of them most of those drivers really dont care about aftermarket... otherwise tehy would have bought a track edition and turboed it.... but gas mileage is 27 on highway impressive!!

yeah, the american version, well, its not american, this version theres on both coutnries, but the 380rs is like a next lvl...soooo much bettercheck on youtube"380rs"

although it is rivaling the r8 in 0-60 i would never consider it a super car... thats a bit extreem dont u think?Oh and the reason why i said its a 3.5v6 is cause i thought u was in U.S. and maybe you are? I am pretty sure the only difference is the nismo cams, which make it 3.7... but not quite sure. IN the U.S. they are far more rare, and each dealer probably wont even see more than 2...Its definantly a different story outside the U.S. America specially California ****s up all good cars. ALL OF THEM.Any way, i think that a majority of the ppl on nico club are from U.S. and not very many of them will have a nismo to begin with, so thats why i dont think it should have its own section... but do i like the Nismo Z **** YA! its probably the coolest factory nissan ive seen in person. (skylines dont count lol)oh and that vid: i saw it 3 days after it came out (the 2 frenchies drivn the **** outa it).

From what I can tell, only 300 380RS were made. They have a 3798cc VQ-series motor with appx 350hp. From the styling and handling side of the house it's pretty much a NISMO-Z. The US-Spec NISMO-Z did not receive any performance upgrades over the "regular" Z as they both have the same tune of VQ35HR. When I spoke with Nissan USA's Specialty Vehicles manager, it seems he became involved too late in the "ballgame" to get performance numbers increased, so the US-Spec NISMO-Z is all handling and styling.

maku_gx, welcome to NICO.

metal: yeah, maybe a supercar is pushing it, but thats what the Japanese called it when I saw the video. I dunno if they were just talking amazed of it, or were serious.I live on MD, but right now im Enjoying Argentina.foods awesome, girls are OMG.why you say LA has all the cars ****ed up?

AUDTATIOUS: hey there!I think you make a lotta sense.where you got this info from?I'd like to recheck those statements.but these ****ing dealers dont even know wtf theyre selling...seriously!, they dont know any of this info >< piss me off.the time i bought my 350z i asked if it had brembo brakes, the guy didnt know what they were, so hes like, hold on imma check, he comes back, he says, no it dosnt have em, but dont worry, theyre just normal brakes with the gold painted on them for looks.-.-; theres your dealer right there.

so, finishing the point where we argue about the 380rs specs, and the nissan nismo 07, we all think that what AUDTATIOUS said is correct?

THANKS AUDTATIOUS for the welcome.I've been checking the forums for a while but never really started a post, nor been welcomed.thank you sir ^^

Call me the Welcome Wagon today

The information I have is from here:http://www.webwombat.com.au/mo...s.htm

I understand about salesmen having no clue. I've run across plenty of them in my day and really enjoy making them feel like total idiots. When the 350Z first came out the guy was making comments about how the new engine was a much better design than the "old" V6 I had in my 2k2 Maxima. When I informed him they were both the VQ35DE he got that "blank salesman look" on his face. Was quite classic.

And.....Of course what I said was correct.

The only way to get larger displacement is from a stroker kit, ie. cahnging the bore and stroke of the engine. The cams change your lift and duration that the valves are open.

After reading a bunch of his posts I tend to only glance at his ramblings now. He has the 15yo "I know it all" complex it seems. At least he did say "but not quite sure" so there is hope yet

More and more you bash on me... and completly ignore what i say. Is it my fault i was miss informed by a site about what the nismo cams do? Not nessisarily. But coming from somone who doesnt even have a 350z makes you in less of a position than i! considering ive spent more than 30,000 minutes in a 350z. I hate to sound overly agressive but thats just my nature. I help if and when i can. What would you rather have me not say anything at all? (dont answer that actually)Here's the unfortunate part: im the most automobile aftermarket experienced person at my 3k person school. Yeah there are that many pple dummer than me. I never said i new it all, but its better to be confident ect than passive! My "ramblings" seem to help people on occasion. I just respew out information for pple. That way they can view a wider spectrum of things without leaving the forums.I dont want to start a flame war with you, simply because i will prove you have no basis for your accusations then i will get blocked from a great forum. Any way i have to repaint my YJM cover, a bird **** on it while it was drying (god damnit)

May I suggest you validate your information before you state it? That's exactly what I do. Everyone makes mistakes but you keep blurting out "what you heard" instead of making sure it's correct before you say it. THAT is why I followed some of your posts this morning.

You want to learn and participate, that's great as that is what NICO is all about. Nobody has issues with that at all. Don't trust everything you hear until you have followed up on it first or at least know the source is trustworthy. Helping members is what we are all here for, helping via misinformation or others potentially wrong opinion is not helping. Do you understand that? I'm not trying to be an azz, just trying to explain.

As far as what I'm doing in the 350 forum is moot. Now, as far as a flame war I highly suggest you don't start one

Now, go kill that bird.

The US-Spec NISMO-Z was put together via Autech in Japan. It has the same 306hp VQ35HR motor as the regular US 350z. What it has different from the US-Spec 350z is:

- NISMO-tuned 4-wheel independent multi-link suspension and rear stabilizer which is 35% Stiffer- NISMO-tuned unique designed front and rear vibration dampers- NISMO Gunmetal Gray Super Lightweight Forged Alloy Wheels by RAYS®, Fr: 18x9” / Rr: 19x10”, Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Fr: 245/40 R18 / Rr: 265/35 R19- NISMO Aerodynamics Package- Front Fascia with Chin Spoiler- Body Side Skirts- Rear Fascia with Underbody Air Management Diffuser- Rear Wing Spoiler- NISMO-tuned exhaust system with chrome tips- Enhanced body welds and reinforcement components for improved rigidity- NISMO White face Tachometer- NISMO Serialized etched aluminum plaque- NISMO Black carpeted floor mats- Unique Black and Red sport seats- Unique Red stitched steering wheel and door trim

From what I can tell, the 380RS pretty much has all of the above plus the enhanced 3.8L motor.
