OK guys...i don't even have the car yet but I found the exact wheels i was looking for and they are for sale at a decent price. They are the bronze 18" NISMO's made by Rays for the 350Z...i know most of you know which wheels i'm talking about, lol.

Now my question is if there's going to be any issues with the fitment. These are the specs on the wheels:

18x8.5,offset +25, bolt pattern 5x114 and yes they are all same the size (fronts), not staggered.

I plan lowering it with eibach springs so please keep that in mind.

Thanks for the input!!!

Yes, the NISMO wheels that were sold with the 350Z were:

Fronts: 18x8.5 +25

Rears: 18x9.5 +30

However the set that i would be buying would be ALL fronts (18x8.5 +25).

So that's where my doubt comes in.

NYblk - What size are your G35 rims?

All right well i made a few phone calls, and these wheels will def. fit without any problems, even with the drop. So i just purchased them and should be arriving in about a month (from the U.S.).

I won't be mounting until next spring though, as winter is approaching (that's what the stocks are for, lol).

Next mod will be the black front splitter from stillen...maybe a xmas gift from the gf, ahhaha.

I'll post some pics when they arrive.

Thanks guys!!

You're going to put an 8.5" wheel with a +25 offset on a coupe.... Not smart at all. You need to do a little more research before you do this. The G35 & G37 wheels come stock with +35 offsets, the 350Z wheels are NOT the same as a G. You're going to be another 10mm past the fender. I'm 99.9% positive you're going to have to roll the fenders. I'm running a +34 offset on an 8.5 and it's real flush. I don't know who you called but even guys setting up their cars for shows running 9.5" wide wheels try to stay in between +35 and 40mm offsets.

I'm sorry I didn't catch this post sooner otherwise I would have posted up. Just trying to look out for you but it is again still just my opinion based off of measurements and current setup. Love the wheels, if you get them just modify the fenders. They're going to stick out so I'm pretty interested in seeing the pictures.

I know…. I know…. but some are concerned with getting as much traction from the wheels pulling as possible. I'd argue tire compound over width any day but if you have a set of staggered, I guess it makes sense to run them that way.

You're right, i called my friend who's a mechanic at Nissan, (talked to the parts guy this morning...pffft what does he know, ) and the optimum offset range for our coupe is 35 to 45, and wheel size is 16x7.0 to 20x8.5. I cancelled my order ....and the hunt continues. Thanks Robs_altima...i owe you a

If you really like those Nismo 350z wheels. You can always custom order one from an authorized Rays dealer. Call Mackin Industries to find a local dealer. This way you can get the size and offset you want to fit them on your car. They are called NISMO LMGT4.

I use to have those and they are nice wheels for the money. In my opinion, the offset isn't aggressive enough. They tuck in the wheel well to much when the car is dropped.

One could argue why get staggered at all….. Unless of course you got a great deal and had to pick them up, makes sense.

The best offset for an 8.5 wheel (245 tire) is going to be a +35. I'll be just about flush with the fender and will clear if you bottom out the strut on anything. If you go with any other width for the tire or wheel, you need to work the math out when selecting the correct offset.

Example: Let's assume you like the +35 setup. If you went to a 9" wide wheel and a 255 tire you'd probably be best going with a +40 to keep the tire side wall in the same place. Likewise, if you went smaller with a 8" wide 225-235 tire, you could probably get away with a +30 offset. If you ever do the math, be sure to distribute the width of the tire evenly to both sides before compensating the offset. The width of the tire is most important, the wheel will tune the side wall. Example, 245 tire across a 9.5 wheel (instead of an 8.5") with my +34 offset would probably result in rubbing.

Bottom line…. You can always roll the fenders if you absolutely love the wheels. Lots of risk with paint and the trouble of finding a good body tech though.
