Just ordered with Travis on the phone. Good service can't wait for this badboy to be in my s13.

I would also like to not leave out Erik who is another class act. Thanks for taking care of the mixup with my order.

Can't wait to install this puppy.

What about output shafts? Do you use the open diff output shafts or do we have to cut them or anything? If this is a direct bolt in affair into an S13 open diff then I will buy one right now.

Talked to Travis via AIM yesterday, also conversed with Matt who is very knowledgeable when it comes to these things. You DO have to modify the output shafts of the open diff by cutting them about 8mm shorter. Travis is looking into what other (if any) mods will be necessary to install this into an s13 open diff. It's still one smoking deal and I'm going to buy one immediately.

I know Travis is looking into getting the right shafts right now from Nissan, supposedly they are the j30 ones. 95-97 should work as they are 6 bolt 3x2 setup. These are 234 each from Midway Nissan, Travis said he would post up when he finds out more. I am just going to cut my shafts and groove the snap ring.

ok well i've been reading up on output shafts and what not and i am pretty sure that j30 as well as 240sx with vlsd output shafts will work. now if this is the case i am selling my vlsd output shafts if anyone is interested. 130 shipped or best offer. these are the 6 bolt configuration 3x2.

89-94 OEM VLSD95-98 VLSD (with S13 diff cover swapped on)90-96 NA Z32 VLSD (w/ pre 95 J30 axles or 180sx axles)95+ J30 VLSD (with S13 Diff cover)Pre 95 J30 VLSD (w/ 95+ J30 axles OR 180sx axles)180sx VLSD with its own axles or pre 95 J30 axles

I'm going to fix/expand this:

Direct Fit:91-93 240sx VLSD89-90 JDM S13 VLSD96-98 JDM S13 VLSDJDM S14 and S15 VLSD (with S13 diff cover swapped on)R33 Skyline (R34 as well?) VLSD (with S13 diff cover swapped on)95-98 240sx VLSD (with S13 diff cover swapped on)1/94+ J30 VLSD (with S13 Diff cover swapped on)

Fit with pre-1/94 J30 axles OR JDM S13 axles OR R32 Skyline axles OR 6 bolt vlsd output flanges OR shaved open diff output flanges:90-96 NA Z32 VLSDPre 1/94 J30 VLSD91 - 95 JDM S13 VLSDJDM R32, A31 and others

Non VLSD oem options:

Z31 Turbo (non SS model) clutch type +4/87: works with open diff output flanges. Use S13 case and cover

R32 and R33 GT-R only, non V-Spec clutch type: uses 31mm 30 spline output shafts. 3 out of 6 bolts line up (sort of) when using skyline output shafts or R230v output shafts (Q45 and turbo Z32)

S15 torsen, 6spd turbo only: use S15 output shafts, late S14 VLSD might work, R230v might work with 3 out of 6 bolts lining up.

R34 torsen, GT-R non V-spec: unknown but I assume its 31mm 30 spline

350Z/G35 torsen: supposedly R205 according to NISMO japan website. Unknown fitment in a 240sx.

not sure if im going to seel the output shafts now b/c i have a jdm vlsd that it can be used with. but if i get a high enough offer considering people don't part out output shafts usually i will consider. pm me if you want!

Thought I would add this as it was a ball dropped in my book.

1/2/07 Called Gruppe-S and placed the order - spoke to Travis.

1/2/07 minutes later called to cancel the order. I spoke to Erik and was asked to not cancel my order. I gave Erik a part number for a like price differential to fit my pumpkin. The order was placed.

1/4/07 cc was hit for the $499.

1/10/07 email sent asking for the status of the order.

1/15/07 4:56pm Eastern time. No answer on the email so I gave a phone call and spoke to Travis. He asked if he could call me back in a few with an answer.

1/15/07 8:28pm Eastern time. No call back so I called Gruppe-S (requested Travis) and continued with the conversation. Came to find that Erik had been fired.

I was told my money would be refunded.

It will take 3-4 days to get the money back.

The ball was dropped by Gruppe-S.

1. Money was taken and no contact was made to me in 13 days.2. Email was ignored on the subject.3. No way to tell how much longer they would have sat on my $499 waiting to see that this would not work.4. They didn't come thru on the order that was placed. Part number 38420-RS661 was ordered and the money taken for it. They should have sent it out or called back explaining what happened. That part would fit my car and work dropped right in.

Sorry but I will never deal with them again. They fouled this deal up and didn't do anything to make it better.

Simba at Touge Factory had a like deal and called back when he found out that the LSD he was ordering would not fit in an open pumpkin. He didn't charge my card when the problem was found.

The moment Gruppe-S found that they were not ordering the part I paid for they should have contacted me.

No it will not without modification. I found that out and called to cancel my order.

I still would not trust anything they say because they do not keep their word.

They were cool as heck when they were taking my money. After that they were gone.

Travis was apologetic on the phone but that doesn't make good on the deal they pulled out of.

I am still dissapointed and will never deal with Gruppe-S again. Neither will the 300+ guys that are on my site.
