I saw this earlier too, thanks for posting it. I am going to get one, since I almost bought a DSI. I have a DS lite Zelda edition that i should just keep in storage. This DS is really not that much bigger when closed.

You know...

I don't see the point.

For one thing, my DSi fits in my pocket perfectly. The LL looks like it won't.For another, the DSi's screen is already large enough to show pixelation. Games on the LL are going to look terrible.

I want that stylus, though.

Oh, it doesn't help that they're launching AGAIN with only stupid colors. GARHLARGHAFARGHING BROWN?! A f***ing BROWN DS?

I'm curious why they went this route. I know compactness was THE big thing with the DSi's design. It's why there's no GBA slot and only one DSi cart slot. The original DSi prototype was bigger, and Nintendo turned it down, saying "Make it smaller." Now less than a year later they're offering a big version? WTF?

Seems really wasteful to me to develop so many varieties of the same damn hardware when Nintendos console sales all around are down of late.

That's the stupid part. How does it appeal to older people more than the small version? Older people have bigger pockets? OH, I get it. It's like those phones with giant buttons for geriatrics. It's the DSi Geezer Edition.

^^You know it's not really that big, right? I'm reasonably certain that's an Asus EEE PC with a DS logo photoshopped onto it.

There's an overlay image on the Nintendo JPN site that plainly shows the size of the DSi LL.

At any rate, I'm going to buy one. I play mostly text-heavy games on my DS, and the larger screen would be nice. Additionally, I always carry it in a backpack and never in my pocket, so the larger size doesn't bother me.

I hope they do a special-edition Dragon Quest "Slime Blue" DSi LL with eyes painted on it for the DQIX release.
