Nil the mech Fan, use only the elec fan? ( i searched and got confused)

hello!! well i removed my mechanical fan and fan shroud today and i havent driven my car yet. What i want to find out is, is it really ok to just use the electrical fan behind the radiator? and why does it have to be rewired?? doesnt it come on automatically??

and if it has to be rewired, could some one help elaborate more cuz the 240.org FAQ confused me for some reason.......

i thought that was just for when the air was on. seems like a lot of work for a we little fan.

i've heard of people using the altima's electric fans on their 240..they both use ka24's and the altima fans are capable of cooling its engine...but the 240's small electric fan and the altima's dual larger electric fans are different (i think)...check out an altima if you're unsure

The small electric fan you're refering to is for the ac consdensor. The electric fan everyone else is talking about are aftermarket electric fans
