I posted this in the General section, but I thought I'd post it here too incase someone can help that doesn't go to the General Section. I've got a buddy who just used NightShades on his tail lights on his truck and it looks good but it's a dull/flat finish. He put on three coats of clear coat (don't know what kind) and it has a flat finish. We thought it'd be glossier with the clear coat. Anyone know what may have caused this? Could it be the type of clear coat? He cleaned the lens well with alcohol to remove all residue before he started. Would more clear coats help? Any help would be appreciated. Alterior motive, I want to know cause I'm going to do my tail lights and I want to do it right the first time. I let him be the lab rat, better his truck than my Z.

i'm pretty sure you should wetsand the tint before you spray clear then maybe wetsand the clear as well not sure but you need to wetsand at certain parts of doing it. The tail lights themselves also should get sanded, i think..
