Fascinating. Maybe they see you barelling down the road being safe with your high beams on, and turns theirs off out of courtesy.DrivingHabit wrote:I notice people who drive at night out in the country they do not drive with high beams on out this way where animals/people roam around at night.
Sounds like a good plan. Do people go around whacking off car doors?Martin Roy wrote:so if one of the door is opened, someone driving by will notice it.
Dupli-color makes reflective spray that you can just spray on and it'll reflect in low-light conditions... You place 8 or 9 strips, evenly spaced on the rims (not the sidewalls). Drivers will see the bike long before the bike's head or tail light becomes visible. Beats those useless reflectors that the CPSC requires on new bicycle wheels and pedals. I don't think it would be of much use on the Versa except in MR's case.
I'm familiar with the product but it's applied to a static item (the frame) and does not appear to have the same reflective properties as the tape. By applying tape to a movable object (rims, cranks, pedals) you gain a degree of visibility not otherwise possible. Tape also works better on the frame than the spray paint but it's not necessary once we've done the rims.KimberKenobi wrote:Dupli-color makes reflective spray that you can just spray on and it'll reflect in low-light conditions...
