So, I just got a call from someone with a very thick accent.
The cliffs of the call:
Caller: Congratulations, you have been selected as the prize winner of a new car. In the front seat will be a brief case with $20k in cash.
Me: What contest was this?
Caller: Morgan Stanley has a raffle. You pay your bills on time and were selected.
Me: I don't deal with Morgan Stanley.
Caller: Well, you have been selected a winner.
Me; Ok
Caller: All you have to do is pay the shipping and handling fee of $299
Me: Ok
Caller: Where is your nearest "wssertftrn"
Me: Huh?
Caller: Where is your nearest "wssertftrn"
Me: I don't think you are speaking english.
Caller: *very slowly* Where is your nearest Western Union?
Me: *click*
A minute later he calls back!
Caller: Why did you hang up?
Me: Because you asked me for a western union transfer, dumbass!!! I do not want anything, do not call back. *click*
Note: The whole time there was a delay of one to two seconds in his responses. And he consistently said, "Are you there?"
When asked where he was he said Tampa. The area code was correct. So they were going through a switch.
