Just discovered that the gas fill door will not open unless the car is unlocked. I always wondered about security of the "push" type door that doesn't release from inside the car. Well, today I have tried to push on it and it wouldn't open. Then I unlocked the car with the fob and the door popped open on it's own.

Shortly after buying my 07 I had it at the dealer for an oil / filter change and I asked if they sold a locking fuel filler cap as I was concerned about peeps being able to open the filler door. He schooled me on the fact that all M's have this locking door feature. I reckon I never tried to fill the fuel with the doors locked so i had no idea, LOL.

Yup!

The older 2003 and 2004 M45 have a little pull-switch in the drive arm support in the door, though. :yesnod
