:woot: This is super-cool... As you guys might know, our friend Hisashi-san is an associate for our favorite car magazine, Nostalgic Hero. He and I talk about once a month, and I've had the honor of helping him and his Editor come up with English "tag lines" for the past few issues.

Last year, Hisashi came to our town with his lovely girlfriend Yoko, and they spent the day with Becky and I here at NICOclub HQ. We let him drive our cars, take pictures, and we just spent the day enjoying their company. Little did I know that he was planning a feature article!

So, without further ado, here's our three pages of fame (I just wish I could read it!):

If you've never picked up a copy of this magazine, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's published in Japan by Geibun-sha. It's a top-notch production, a huge, thick, glossy mag with some of the best automotive photography you'll see. You can drool over all the cool classic JDM cars for sale, as well as the parts and accessories we can't get here in the US. ( Ordering info: http://geibunsha.co.jp/mag/nh/en/subscription.html )

That's wicked awesome. By the way, you can use the Google Translate app on your phone to try translating some of it.

I'm here...just can't read it.

I do, however, have someone who's going to translate it for us.

Just wait a bit.

I bought me a copy last night after work. Damned expensive, too.close to $10!

I only have one, but I'll ask Hisashi-san how you guys can order one.

Thanks for all the positive feedback - I really hope the Japanese readers are pleased with our collection!

(...although, I'm pretty sure most of them hate us for our garage space!)

Doubt they'd hate you, just wonder why you don't have 4-5 more stuffed in there like they do.

You left out "eat all his food, then scarf down the leftovers after they all go to sleep"

Please do! I'd love a copy. Not only for NICO HQ, which is badasstastic, but for that gorgeous sliding-roof Whateveritis on the cover.

Per Hisashi-san:

Ivan in the bay area can help getting copies; ask him at [email protected] .

Let him know who you are and that you're from NICOclub. :)

Hi everyone! Neal asked me to take a crack at translating it. I skimmed through it over the weekend and will try to bang it out over the next few days. I'll post the translated versions once I get a chance to finish them up.

Ivan has a fair amount of the nostalgic heros so shoot him an email if you'd like a copy. You can also pickup a copy if you have a Kinokuniya bookstore nearby where you live.

So do you have the largest classic Datsun collection outside of Japan yet? Should someone call Guinness?

Probably not the largest... I know several people with 20-30 classics. Ours might be the most diverse though, and one of the cars is the only one in the US!

Its pretty interesting that it seems almost more about the story of Greg and Becky than any of the cars haha.

I'd definitely say Greg is a carnivore when it comes to pretty much everything though. He really doesn't mess around. A lot of people talk the talk, he definitely walks the walk.
