Lets find a way to support embedding vids from other video hosting services.
Why subsidize facebook and youtube for free.
These arrogant monopolies do not deserve the help!

Lets create video hosting tabs for :

Vimeo
Utreon
Bitchute
Liveleak
VEVO
TWITCH
dailymotion

One reason why I am so active on automotive forums is because I want to fight for their, our, attractiveness in the onslaught of corporate media monoliths.
Lets do the right thing and not boycott our fellow nonFB non YT internet denizens!

Why not add couple functions where users can literally upload videos and pictures to the website without using a 3rd-party source like youtube or imgur or META-JokeBook (ya know what I am referring to). Admins, this just an idea and thought. I know some automotive forums allows for picture uploads directly without using or needing a 3rd-party.

You can do pics direct right now, just not any vids; :)

Because hosting video is prohibitively expensive. We already spend five figures annually hosting pics and the forum content.

Here's my thoughts:
First, I've never had a problem with youtube, so sticking with them is fine by me.
Second... I've also never had a problem with just clicking on a link. It seems like just about everywhere I go, embedding a video is quirky and I end up just going to the damn host website anyway.
