I'd like to introduce myself to the other Versa owners, my name is Devin. I have been helping out around NICO and the Nissan Truck forums for a few years now (I have 2 older Nissan trucks I care for). I just recently purchased a 2012 Versa sedan. So far it's exceeded my expectations. First off the ride is pretty smooth. Crosswinds do bother it a little but it stays composed in every situation I have had it in so far. The seat is comfy and being able to shift gears manually brings an ear to ear smile. I traded a 2002 Nissan Frontier 4WD truck towards this. I commute 90 miles a day in mostly 55mph+ roads. The truck was killing me slowly. I saw this car online and was blown away by it's 'plain-ness'. I wanted my next car to be meat and potatoes and this is it. Crank windows, manual mirrors, manual locks and a manual transmission. It's the 1.6S and I bought it with 25K on the ODO. I love the black interior. Call me out-dated but I hate all the extra crap cars come with these days. In the end who really uses all that crap? Some actually do I am sure but I never will. I am more of an 80's and 90's kind of style and back then cars barely had CD players to say nothing of keyless entry. I see all that stuff as more s*** to go wrong once the car is out of warranty. So enter the Versa S, it's got AC and a CD player but that's it. Simple. Plain. Just what I like in a daily commuter car. I didn't have to pay for s*** I'd never use ever. I bought this car for one purpose, save money on gas! And compared to the Frontier it is doing just that. I picked up the car on Saturday. Tomorrow is it's first day on the job.
