No, you pervs, not THAT kind of talent. :)

I'm looking for some individuals who are PROFICIENT in the following, for some upcoming NICO projects:

Graphic design (no, not Art 101)

Website design (skilled in flash, fireworks or illustrator)

Creative writing (Journalism background preferred)

Please post up (no whoring please) if you have some of the above skills and would like to assist on some of our many projects coming up soon!

I will be announcing the various projects over the next couple weeks in this thread....

Project #1 is this: Redesign the NICO logo!

I'm looking for something hip, progressive, and cool. However, here are some parameters - It must read "NICOclub". It must incorporate the phrase "We take our Nissans seriously" (thanks George!), as well as the web address, and it must retain the old-school Datsun/Nissan red/blue banners somehow.

I will be accepting all entries via email at "[email protected]". I'll review them, and the Administrators will comment on the remaining entries. Then, if there are more than a couple awesome ones, we will take a vote of the general membership.

BTW - This will NOT be an easy project. There will be a $50 prize for the designer of the chosen logo, as well as props on the forums and a letter of recommendation (if you're an art student or applying for a graphic design job).

Good luck!

ATTENTION:

More requirements for the NICO logo redesign:

We need to have a copy available in high resolution, at least 600dpi and the size has to be at least 4x4 with no limit on dimensions. This means you can make it a square, a rectangle, it can be 4x8, 5x6.785, etc. We just need it to be big enough to replicate and keep its quality.

Also, the "NICO" part has to be a font and we need the name of the font.

Thanks guys,

Nick

P.S. anyone need any help with obtaining software for this, let me know.

Cool. Do you live near a Nissan dealer? If so, go test drive one of their new cars/trucks/SUVs and take lots of pics. Then write an article to review the car and the test drive etc.

Nick :)

THIS JUST IN! AND I HAVE THE PLEASURE OF LETTING YOU ALL KNOW.

We have another position opening. We are in need of a fluffer for "on-set" work. It pays nothing.. except maybe a reference on future resumes and we're asking for females only. If you think you have the skills to pay the bills, please send your resume and pics to [email protected]

Well now, you had me thinking that I could be the next NICO Idol. I was going to put on my Kelly Clarkson outfit and ... never mind.

I have no talents that you seek, unless you need something destroyed and mass chaos and panic. Then Repoman and I are your men.

I wrote some stuff for the school newspaper, but it was basicaly like funny stuff. I don't know, whatever. I leave for college tonight so I should be up and running by SUNDAY. Talk to you then.

yes jokes about white people!

god knows we make it easy enough...

the great thing about racist jokes, well, we can all laugh at them, hell I laugh at white jokes, they're usually true anyway...comedy = the truth.

I'm cool with writing with Geo! Though I think his name has some sort of phallic meaning behind it. Geo = rocks.... yeah.....

Anyway. I'm gonna be test driving a Sentra/Altima/Maxima/can't decide which on Monday and we'll see how that goes.
