Hmmm, its a tough call, I'd rather remain anonymous almost. BUT, I wouldn't want everyone going "hey, theres that guy with 4000 posts who doesn't help the forums at all". When I can afford to, I plan to send a donation in :) Sorry NICO, it'll probably be a couple months yet :(.

I'm with LTJJ. I think we should implement an option that allows you to edit your own status... maybe only make it active after 1000 posts or somthing, though.

Then make the "NICO supporter" appear underneath the avatar, if it's applicable.

Just an idea!:thinker

ditto.

i like the idea of being able to come up with my own status, but i'd prefer being anonymous when it comes to donating funds.

There are probably some people on here though who have gave money to NICO that might not have 1000 posts. I think anyone can be a NICO supporter that donates money to the site. ( I will soon when I get some money coming in, like a job :) hopefully soon)

I uh....seem to be buying dumb hats and a lot of gas lately, perhaps I won't be "nico deadbeat" too much longer...

does buying booze next month at the meet for admins make me a NICO supporter?

I'm concerned about the number of unemployed nico members.

There's GOTTA be work out there!

Yes but a lot in college have trouble working. Others have high standards and then there are the ones who truly can't find work.

I quit college last week so I can work. For the hassle I went thru and not been able to get my VA educational benefits is not worth it. I rather work than to have put up with college bs.

I came up with idea...how about like certain number of posts you get a free hat or tshirt that says NICO on it?? That can be one way of support for the site :) Sort of like a drawing. Take like the posts everyone has in catergories example as 1-100 or something will get something then move on to the next catergorie, who ever has in range of 101-?? whatever gets something else.....but do it like every 6months or so have a NICO drawing.

I dunno if that has been thought of before or not but have some way of supporting the site.

Post whore will always go on. lol I don't think it will add to it than it does now. Winning a drawing and getting something is cool though. Or something else I just thought of have 2 drawings...that one and whoever has gave the most to the site should desire something as well.

If you would go out and tag cars and other interesting objects with NICO cards, you could win Hitman's monthly Contest and he will send you cool things, bought out of his own pocket.

At least tagging cars with NICO cards and photographing your work will keep you busy while you are unemployed!

It promotes/supports the site, get's the word out about the site, and will promote a good competition between regular members to post the best pics... and if you win you get cool prizes from Hitman..

:Werd

Dont worry y'all, we're planning some cool upgrades and changes.... mum's the word... er, the werrrrrd. :)

p.s. Job market is tough right now - I was pretty much unemployed for 4 months this past year (I don't count my temporary gig at Infiniti as a real job), even as a long-term State employee whose job is Constitutionally-mandated. Guess the State doesn't have to comply with the Constitution. :(

when i read dark eagles post i thought maybe we could have raffles for stuff and of course it wouldn't be worth that much but if u get 10-20 people raffeling for a shirt they are giving money to nico and if they are lucky they'll get a shirt thats just an example you could do bigger items im not sure about the traffic on the site so i dont really know what to expect.

I remember one site had a donation drawing. I think it was like 1 dollar=1 ticket. And one person won at the end. I think they got a quarter of the money or they got something as a prize.
