Cutting it up to see where the coolant/oil passages are so that when you start doing port work on another head, you know how much material you can remove.

Yes, it can be used for that purpose too, but i just wanted the flanges.

Exhaust valve seat opened up 1mm

The un-modified head I posted earlier with it's current gasket match, polishing, 4 angle grind on the exhaust port with back cut valve, and radius cut on the intake ports and back cut valves.
