We just had some portraits done and brought the pups along. Special thanks to the photographer Rex Alfes. A few candids:

Missy: (short for Misdemeanor) she gets into trouble occasionally, but never anything serious.

:) I suppose if we trace back enough generations, they might be related.

Thought I would share our "adopted pets". The girls decided to volunteer for the Arizona Golden Rescue, a no-kill shelter for Golden Retrievers who need to be adopted, cared for, or fostered. In just one month, the rescue raised over $14,000! It was very cool to be a part of that.

Greg thought it would be funny to put Mia in a grocery bag. She was less than amused. :chuckle:

That back leg kick and claw drag is the worst. It's like they distract you with the front paw clamp and biting and then Street Fighter Chun Li kick you out of nowhere. I swear people must think I'm a cutter sometimes.

That's nothing a nice pair of Wells-Lamonts and a sharp hatchet couldn't cure.

The newest addition. He's just temporary. Priss volunteers for a cat rescue. This little guy was brought in Saturday. Someone wants to adopt him but they can't get him until Wednesday so Priss is fostering him until then. We call him "Little Man". He's about 3-4 weeks old and weighs < 2 pounds. He is awesome! :bigthumb:

Love the pictures of Mia ^^^
Guard dog of Nico central. When I was there a month ago she was so small. I always wanted a wiener dog. I must get one for companion for Duke. Joey is really old and I fear the worst for him the next year. :frown:

I wish we could get Mia a playmate but our schedule is so crazy and she is so spoiled, I'm not sure if our household could handle another edition. She's not a big fan of other dogs and she is terrified of all dogs bigger than her. She could probably handle a puppy but I'm not sure the humans in the house could handle another puppy. Mia was a PITA to train.

I adopted this little fella 3.5 weeks ago. Picked him up at a local shelter and promptly named him Loki. I always say "Adopt, don't shop."

We think he's possibly a mix of Anatolnian Shepard/German Shepard/Lab/Husky/Malamute. I'm hoping he's not Antonian Shepard as they can be as tall as 32" (at the shoulder) and range between 110 and 145lbs.

What he could look like when he gets older: Image

We had to put down our Chewie back in February(13.5 years old). Image

But last month we got Lucy, a 1/2 Yorkie and 1/2 Miki. Miki breed is a mix of 3 so Lucy is a mutt, but at 14 weeks and 5 lbs she is special.

Oh boy, here goes. In China, we have six cats. Six. It didn't start out that way.

Meet Jacob, a purebred British Shorthair. Before I arrived, Lili had taken him in from a friend.

Image

Not long after that, Lili's cousin was having domestic issues with her then-husband, and sent her two Scottish Folds away to that same friend, who later sent one to us, shortly after I arrived. We renamed her Sissy.

Image

Then, Sissy met Jacob.

Image

Cats did what cats do, and Sissy gave birth to two cats, one alive. We named him Thunder.

Image

The day after Thunder was born, our friend (who has far more cats than we) wound up with a brand new litter of 8, and he asked us to take two of them to Sissy, so that there would be enough milk to go around. Meet Wally:

Image

And meet Nala:

Image

One of those other kittens from the litter of eight stayed with our friend, but he was worried about how skittish she got around people. He wanted to be able to find her a home, and so she needed more human contact than he alone could provide. So, meet Chubby:

Image

I'll try to remember to post more photos as the kittens grow, before we find them new homes.

I have a pet hedgehog... he's honestly one of the coolest pets I've ever owned so I never skip a chance to brag about him ;-)

More recent, looking grumpy because I'm trying to take his picture with the carrot in his mouth.

Gee, the first thing that comes to my mind with a name like "Nala" is a young, fail prone creature always on the prowl, desperately trying to get picked up and rubbing itself against womens' legs for attention....no wait....that name works... :chuckle:

Cute Kitties.

Heh, the thinking was more along the lines of The Lion King. Lili wanted to name the white one "Eva" and the gray one "Wally," but the genders turned out wrong. So she settled on Wally for the boy, and made me think of an appropriate Disney Princess for the girl. Nala was the only one that seemed cat-appropriate, for some obvious reasons.
