HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

That was classic... WDracing (Corona in hand) was in charge of "crowd control", and keeping our area clear of non-Nissans (with a Corona in hand).... Some guy in an SRT-4 came rolling in and parked right in front of the NICO booth (while Brian had a Corona in hand).

Brian (Corona in hand) strolls over and explains that he must be lost, and that the area is reserved for Nissans only. The guy is a bit resistant, but Brian (Corona in hand) persists.

So the guy finally relents, and begins to roll out, but not before revving like a ricer and popping his BOV all over the place, right in front of Brian and his Corona. Big mistake.

Brian (Corona in hand) is offended. Mr. Mopar comes to the SRT guy's defense, words are exchanged, and Brian (Corona in hand) is all up in the guy's grille, even as he's walking away.

We thought for sure there was gonna be some "throwdown", so I did what any responsible event coordinator would have done in the event of an impending fight:

I mobilized our photographers.

Ultimately, the guy walked out, with Brian (Corona in hand) close on his heels, emphatically explaining to him that SRT-4's are the automotive equivalent of wearing a bad toupee and having intercourse with one's maternal parent.

Cool guy that Brian is, he later patched things up with Team Mopar, and never once had to set down his Corona.

Yes, East Coast (or at least closer to east coast) meet would rock. Wished I could have made it to AZ, but that is a long ways and I hate driving trips over 2-3 hours on 9/7 springs.

Looks like it was fun though.

bwhahahaha...

I'll have to make it a note to not miss the east side meet.

I hope it's driving distance...or like 20 minutes.

Yes, I want a big Nashville meet...I'm just too lazy to try and organize...the import scene here kinda sucks though...

Well I only drive mine for fun so its only 1-2 times a week, although more with gas prices as high as they are. I know plenty of them in Charlotte and a lot of them in Raleigh area. If you get a chance go to CarolinaNissans.com -- great local board of nissan guys, just a place to setup local meets, etc.

Haha, I don't think I ever saw Brian without a Corona in his hand.

There is something evil with that Phoenix sun...75 degrees max and I'm burned to hell.

Thanks to the NICO booth, I've got some new posters to adorn my bare walls...EEeeexcellent.

I've got some pics I'll post up in the other thread Fred liked to when I'm not feeling so lazy.

I am hearing our event will begin airing in June, and will be on heavy rotation.

I hope I didn't say anything stupid.

Can you make the next meet in NJ? They have a nice drift event place there for the drift fans (D1 guys came there already and are coming again), and other things for car enthusiasts.I would say do one in CT, but CT got... well not much, except 2 autoXs and ... i dunno, me, fiznat and like a handful of other 240 guys.

Definately need to do something more to the East. Preferebly when NOPI gets to Bristol or Atlanta. I know how to get there and wouldn't ming going to either, or both.

The only successful meet I could put together here would be a 5am gathering of Buick owners at Denny's.

Alan, the subtle joke is that meet would be incidental, because the elderly tend to wake up at obscene hours to eat breakfast at Denny's.

Sorry Z - The lack of support we've seen out of So Cal is pretty disheartening.

SoCal claims to have a "scene" - Apparently it's only if the event is held in their living room.

This was only 6 hours away, but not a single CA member showed. Yet we had NM, NV, ND, NY, IN, and several other states represented.

I'm not real motivated at this point to do anything for Ahnold's state.

There are plans underway for the NOPI events in Birmingham and Atlanta. Hopefully those are close enough for some of the east coasters and southerns. I know I will be driving down for the Atlanta event.

I would also like to get another large meet together in the Midwest (Indiana, Kentucky or Ohio) sometime this summer or fall.

The NOPI Atlanta meet is going to be off the hook. I've cancelled two other vacations just to be there for that show.

Step 2 in NICO taking over the world...
