Politics shouldn't be discussed among simple men.

Anybody who runs a Register to Vote ad with partisan mockery, is a simple man with a weak mind and not much backbone. They're using you, and you don't know/don't care.

Such a forum may tear our little club apart. Many hold their beliefs very dear.

And I believe we will see too many hurt feelings and members leaving in a huff.

While it is unfortunately true that political debate between "simple" men is little more than an exchange of ignorance, as a nation of the people, politics will always be a topic of debate for all classes and types of people.

I would never go there. I get enough "politics" shoved up my *** on a daily basis the way things are. If anyone on this board thinks they "know" about "politics," I hate to tell you this, but you are wrong.

I have a BA in Government, an MA in Applied Social Research, and I went to law school. I work as a conntrator for USDHS/ODP. While I am not an "expert" on politics by any stretch of the imagination, I feel confident that I know enough about politics to have an educated debate (with another educated person).

That being said, I would most likely steer clear of a forum dedicated to that topic area, because without someone who can discuss it in an intelligent and mature manner, I woudl be wasting server space.

Do you go to WVU for law school?

Are you implying that noone knows anything about politics? I don't think that you are making much sense here with a broad statement such as that.
