I'm a rapper, and personally I don't do the type of rap that's mainstream on BET an such right now. I use my talent to spread positive word about God and my faith.I started out with that old played out gangsta rap **** and got tired of it... I'll still listen to it so I can take theyr'e words and turn em around

the musics good but most of their lyrics suck, cept for twista

Well I'll listen to anything once lol, I like rock, rap, some techno, r&b, jazz, blues, classical etc etc

and I quote

"The Nissan 180SX is the cheaper alternative to the Skyline or 300ZX. It has the same engine (from 1992 onwards) as the Pulsar GTiR, Silvia and 200SX, however is significantly lighter than most counterparts. Superb performance and looks can be achieved for less than $20K. As with all Japananese turbo cars, improve the intake - airfilter, outtake - exhaust, and add an intercooler, and you will blow away just about everything on the road. Watch the speeding tickets mount up!"

:O you're telling me they DON'T come with intercoolers?/postwhoring

Well I don't listen to much rap....(save but a few groups, Cypress Hill to name one), but that's mostly because I'm a guitarist and I'm obsessed with learning my instrument to the best of my ability and well rap obviously doesn't have any jimmy pages' or zakk wyldes' ripping it up on guitar for the most part.

i would definatly agree with rosco, most rap really doesnt require any musical talent aside from rhyming and talking, cypress hill actually has instruments, plus i forget the name of the song, but tim armstrong did a song with them earlier this year and i just love it. the transplants do rap a little, and those are all people assembled from some of my favorite bands.

i used to listen to rap a lot, but then i started playing the drums and i started to appreciate a lot more rock because of the instrumental side of things.

I will just say I don't understand rap, and leave it at that. Then I don't like a lot of modern rock. The last band I really liked was Creed, but they broke up Guess I prefer someone singing with a good voice.

I guess you guys'd like our rap when we actually bring it out for real, we spend most of our time on the instruments, we prefer real instruments, and we sing and rap. trust, we have musical talent. I'm going for more voice training when I have time. Need to sing sweetly for all the girlies

i listen to some very instrumental underground, theres a band called fugazi thats amazing but they dont sing all that much, its all instrumental

i also listen to some even harder stuff, a lot of punk and hardcore, bad religion is my favorite band, and the band i have in my avatar, thrice, has some very good instrumentals. some people might not like the way they sing, being a little edgier, but i really like it. i also listen to some emo stuff, i.e. coheed and cambria, brand new, yellowcard, its starting to come on the radio now but ive actually known about these bands for years

I hear that, in Dallas the rock stations have gone down the crapper. None of the current stations are any good. Unless there is one I am missing.
