Just looking at her for one of my friends. Other than the one rusted fender do you see anything else to be scared of? Thanks

she LOOKS good, but your going to have to replace the metal in those fenders if its anything close to the misses Q. I had hers in the shop and I inspected the rust in the exact same areas, and after a little pressure it was rusted through, from the inside out.theres a slight ledge on the inside of the wheel wells that holds dirt and debris and if you dont keep that pressure washed out thats what the long term effects are...odds are the other sides just as bad, just hasnt come throught the paint yet. you have the chance to visually inspect the car check the bottoms of the doors where the door skins were welded to the door frame for the same thing.look for bubbled areas of paint thats rust from the inside to the outside of the body metal....

Also looks like some rust on the pass strut tower. And I don't like that the drivers back door "sill" isn't in the picture, as it is on the passenger side.

Send an email asking for some under body pictures.

I would not buy that car. Rust is not your friend and will come to re-visit you time and time again, once it's been there before. The moment I see rust, I run. There are hundreds of Qs for sale. I'd shop elsewhere. Either way, best of luck to you and your friend.

Rust in a Q means bad news.

They're VERY rustproofed, so that one's seen a LOT of corrosive environment.

Just for an example, I had rust above the rear passenger wheel fixed a few years ago. I supplied the replacement body part from another Q I was parting out. The one fender cost me $1100. You have a lot more rust on that car, and it will cost you a ton of $$ to fix it all.

Pass on this one!
