Good job on having the site back up and running so fast. Shout outs to your techies Greg! Make sure you check their IPs both for those of members (or previous members) and to make sure they're not proxies. Also, if they're dial up, packeting the same IP won't do anything for long. All they'd have to do is reconnect to the net and their IP will change. On the flip side you can get the FBI involved IF the hackers caused more than $5000 USD damage (restoration costs, lost advertising, etc.). Best of luck and make sure you clear up all security holes from now on! Lastly, port scan your servers for available and open ports. GEO should be able to help you in that category. All the best Greg.

I "educated" myself for two years about hacking. I went as far as to learn C++. I knew quite a few "powerful" people in that scene and saw more than a few of them get arrested; including the fellow who took down some of the largest routers in North America a year or two ago. These people can be extremely hard to catch if they're well educated. Often profiles are built for months if not years before they find the person whom commited the crimes.

Great work by the NICO staff to get the site back up and running. Perhaps you should email these Kuwaitis and tell them political posts are generally short lived on NICO. ;)
