I wanted to thank all the members here I have been a NICO member for only a short bit of time but you guys have brought back the car bug that got me into this field in the first place.

Before joining this was just starting to become a job to me and I was not as posionate about cars as I once was. Since I am between cars the only thing I can play with is wifies RSX and now that you guys have caused me to get re-biten by the bug it now has factory G Bose door speakers and it's about to get a full set of Brembos.

In particular I wanted to single out the G forum as it is my favorite group here, you guys are the best and I hope that I will be able to help you guys with anything you need. The discussions here are great there are a lot of you guys who know your stuff and it leads to great topics and some really interesting ideas.

Keep Up The Good Work.

Steve

Steve, You are our "MVT" Most Valuable Tech. You have no idea how nice it is to have a member that knows what he's talking about and is willing to help his fellow members with unbiased facts. We thank you very much.

Thank you guys for the kind words

The G bug bite me bad.

I was talking with the mrs. this weekend and she said we'll start looking for something after tax season. I am pushing hard for a sedan. I would ideally like to get a 05 auto, rwd. An 03-04 would be more likely depending on the pre determined budget. I have so many ideas of things I would like to do. Nothing crazy or ricey, just little stuff like putting 06 taillights and wheels on it, with the 06 steering wheel (I like the illuminated switches). I would also really like to get rid of all the orange lights and replace them with blue.

Little motor work things too, spacer, charger. Since I am not the keeper of the check book it will be strictly limited to a momma-don't-know money budget. I would really like to hook up a padel shifter.

Yes I dream big but I really don't want just a beater anymore which is the reason I am carless now. I am not really a big fan of Nissans fit and finish on something like an Altima, I have my mind set on a G sedan. Well see what happens.

Steve, you know better than most that the 03-04 years have issues...I'd go for the 05+

Yeah I know the issues associated with them and I would prefer the 05+ as the fit and finish just cannot be beat. An 03-04 G is better than no G at all though.

Steve we owe you here big time.

It is always nice to have somebody to tell you what the problem is before you head to the dealer or maybe out of warranty and DIY.

Thanks for the great help you do here.

You Da man.

Go for the sedan, you'll be happy you did, it is perfectly functional on the street, and equally barbarious on the track. 4 doors = cheaper insurance etc.

Don't be scared away from the 2004s, I have had very little trouble with mine over the first year of ownership (Nov 2007) ... but you'll have to look at the car carefully to be sure.

Take my advice, don't get the AT, while it seems faster sometimes, I'd still prefer to be able to slap the gears around Let us know how goes, oh, and just find something with payments you're comfortable with, don't stretch the wallet beyond your means. That said, go get a G my friend

I really like the interior fit and finish of the 05-06 but at that point only a few grand more I can get an 07 G35S and hell at that point and $2500 and I should be able to score a used M. Then I start taking brand new cars home for the weekend to "reset the SRTs" and oh look it just happens to be the perfect new car.

The real side is I married an accountant who looks at numbers not what the car is beyond the color and amount of doors. It works really well for keeping my spend happy *** in check.

That sux... See I am not married for a good reason! I make the money I get to decide how I spend it. Notice there is no "WE" in that last sentence...

And when there is a "we" I will be the one controlling and spending what "we" Make!

I also am in the financial industry!

Hello,I believe you are right, these G guys are alright. This is absolutely the forum I spend the most perusing short of my M forum. Even still, given the increased members, excellent moderators, and interesting topics, the G forums are tough to beat.

Steve, your impact, in a relatively short time, has been astonishing. NICO is truly a richer place with you on board. It is amazing to see someone with the training be so generous with their time and information.Cheers,ML
