Since the Riaa seems to be running rampant with their need to sue everyone and anyone why don't we use aim in order to share songs/files ect??

My screen name is Twakefield1626I'm working right now so nothing really to download. but once i get back home i have about 5000 files of music

cuz its a pain to request songs and people willing to trade... not to mention, any file transferring over aim is real slow.

there are other programs out there that RIAA dont know, and will most likely never know since they re all outside of US that works perfect for music lovers.

man i did a report/debate over this whole friggin thing just last semester. we had the senator and a RIAA rep and some other industry names come down and do a panel. i had all kinds of info, and arguments to throw at them. they started with the same usual BS and when we [the students] started talking, we were disproving some of their points. they contradicted themselves a lot and before we really destroyed them they called the whole thing off and walked out. bunch of pu$$ies.. i know all the facts, and they know they're just lying and twisting things around. but they dont want anyone to really find out whats going on.they're cracking down on people UPLOADING mysic more than downloading. thing is they cant get you unless their lables own the rights. i download a lot of trance music, and usually they have their own lables or are independent, so they cant touch you for that. and so long as you dont share as much as you download you should be ok. but they really are starting to crack down and they will come for you if you push it.

Did any of the sues go sucessfull? The only good anti-piracy thing theyve come up with is mixing their copies of songs into kazaa. Bastards nearly made me go deaf with that horrible screech sound.

use itunes, support artists... its easy and cheap, you dont have excuses any more.

i myself am an artist (guitarist) ... so i guess im biased, but well the only reason id download music is because i usually only wanted one song off an album, but now with itunes, theres no point just pay $0.99 and get a super high quality version in seconds instead of being on kazaa for 20 minutes looking for one "real" version lol

well like i said.. i only download trance, not mainstream stuff anyway, so im not stealing anything of theirs. besides, i dont really think theres much talent around enough for me to want to steal it...
