I just installed a Nico ECU used that I purchased from Felton's last fall.
It has stage 1,2,3 and valet. Marked John Nordling, Kent, WA and has a little switch.

Just took a test drive in stage 2, WOW!!!!

Wes, you have my admiration and thanks. Very impressive. I'm almost scared to flip the switch on stage 3

Nice find. Felton auto is a great place to get parts. Got a rear stabilizer bar and stillen strut bar from for $130 shipped a few years back. Stage 3 redlines @ 7900 rpms or pretty close. I have buried the needle to almost 8000 rpms in stage 3 several times. Don't get addicted like I am. Has a bit more pull than stage 2

Glad you like it. So, did you find John Nordling's car in the junkyard or something! What a fine!

Stage 2 and stage 3 both should redline at 7400 RPM.

Wes, I have to disagree with you there. Maybe it is the fact I have the first or one of the first 4 ways shane made. Unless my tach is messed up I have red lined significantly over the 7500 rpm mark.

I didn't find Nordling's car. I suspect Felton's parted it out. They've have a 94 Q45 that they've been parting since last summer. Maybe that's the car...

It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that it's a 4-way ECU, the program is the same one Robert and I developed the tune back around 2005. Disagree all you want, but the ECU is programmed to redline at 7400, and I'm 99% confident that no changes were made to those programs anywhere along the line.

I actually have *the* first 4-way ECU (actually mine has 8 programs on it) that was made way back in the day, and I also have run multiple 4-way (and 2-way) ECU's in my car, and none of them have ever done what you're describing.

I'd be happy to test it for you (free of charge, of course) and we can rework it if there turns out to be an issue.

Yeah mine is the 8 way. 1-4 are equal to their counter 5-8. 'll get you a picture up of said red line shortly. Have done it several times

The tach. is notoriously inaccurate - and I'd guess even more so at high RPMs. I'd only put faith in what the ECU is telling you via Consult.

I thought Robert did all of the tune himself by analyzing other ECU and gas readings?

None of the multi settings were 16 bit ECU, right?
