I wanted mine first. =(GQ Jay wrote:ping is gone, off-idle to 2250 is a bit flat.upto 6000, no strange sounds. will go to redline soon.good rush from 2250 up.
Robert,I'm shipping Rob's stock ECU w/TCS to you tomorrow as well as my own stock ECU non-TCS/non-active. Rob can chime in on what level of mod he'd like on his and I'll attach a note to mine.RobertsnewQ wrote:These ECUs are totally rudimentary - there's not "learning" involved.
Rob - Are you sending me an already-modified ECU or a stock one?
Also, I do sometimes hear pinging around 5500 RPM with 91 octane and a tuned ECU. There's a real high-advance "band" around that point in the stock timing that I've kept. I think I'll back it off a bit for the other 91 octane ECUs. If you want, I can send an updated chip.
Robert, did you do that with mine??? I am sans cats..RobertsnewQ wrote:Well, since the sum total of available mods for the engine is only an intake filter, I would say yes
Seriously, it won't make any difference. If you get 1 hp from a filter and 10 hp from headers, it will be the same with the ECU. That's the advantage of a MAF-equipped system.
If you've removed your cats, I can add fuel in the midrance and remove the EGRs, but don't do that if you have cats.
The "basic" tune will pass CA emissisons fine - I don't mess with that area of the maps. If you want the more hardcore tune with richer midrange and more advance, it may or may not pass, I haven't tried.
Jeff, I guess that means you're getting the agressive program.Jeff Williams wrote:I can't wait for mine. My new knock sensors on Lola will be put to good use, now!
I use nothing but 93 octane in my cars, so "Pump it up!"
Yeah but which program are you going with, standard or agressive which allows higher RPMs?Jeff Williams wrote:Lola need nothing, so she gets the re-programmed ECU.
