I'll admit I was bored earlier, and was tired of looking at this yellow bookshelf that's been in the family a long time, sooooo I painted it.

Not done, but here's the progress thus far:

Before... yuck.

Then sand and paint black to match my other furniture!

Looked boring so add something to it... I just freehanded the logo, so the O sucks.

Voila! Not done, still have to go back with black to make the outline of the letters crisp, my stencil raised some with the force of the compressed air in the can. I'm also ordering a piece of glass to put over it.

I'll update when it's done.

leftover cans of aerosol. 2 cans of Krylon H20 in satin black, one can of krylon 'Premier' in satin black, and the logo was done in the charcoal metallic wheel paint.

use a super light grit sandpaper and see if you can smooth it out a little....even out the paint on it.

Here's the finished product. Is it perfect? Not quite, it's almost 50 years old. I love how it turned out though. I threw some crap on it to make it look used.

Looks awesome! There is no way I could freehand something like that. Question: Where do you guys get the model cars? I have been forever trying to find an S13, a z32 and an A32 Maxima. Then I will get just whatever else I think is cool.. ;-)

Sorry for the late response, but here's some answers:

No, I don't care if you copy my idea, in fact.... I ENCOURAGE YOU TO COPY MY IDEA! GO TO TOWN!

Freehanding isn't hard, and if you don't feel comfortable doing it, get someone else to do it for you!

As far as the models, many of them are by Jada Toys, found at your local Wal-Mart and Target stores. Also can find them online.
