I used to be heavy into R/C planes. It probably uses a pair of RAM 750 turbines. They are true jet engines that you start with propane and switch over to jet fuel once they warm up made specifically for modelling purposes. Each spins at 120,000rpm and can produce 18-19lbs or thrust. RAM 750's go for $1800 a piece and the airframe probably costs around $500-$600. Add the electonics to fly and other various things to get the engines started and whatnot, you are looking at a solid $6000 for one of those bad boys.

You'd crash and burn Jeff. lol

Have you ever tried to fly a model airplane? Looks easy but you can get backwards REAL quick if you aren't paying attention...

I'd love to do an F-14 and a P-51 mustang and fly them but I lack the patience to build(outside of my car), and I lack the model flying experience to keep them intact. (Now real world flying is another story..)
